I do the same. All from a tablet. Crazy. After every longish session of Mario Odyssey, I look at the little switch over there and think to myself: all this awesomeness out this tiny little box. It truly is a wondrous device

Ok I think I'm done. Final two [postgame] area spoilers
I attempted the Dark Side. Even went and got a 6-piece heart before starting the battle with the first floor Rabbid. He got me down to 1 health and when I realized it was a boss rush at the 2nd floor I knew I was fucked. How many floors are there?
Skipped over to the Darker Side after that. Was feeling good with the welcoming party and everything. Got to the lava and nope'd after not even passing the 4th sinking climbing pole.
I've got around 630 stars and I think I'm finished, for now.
Just beatdarker side of the moon. What a fantastic level. In terms of difficulty it's a big step down from the last few true final stages of 3D Mario games, but it's surely the most fun of them all and strikes a really good balance. Very satisfying.
Hmm I was just going to post a different take on this. You're right about it being way easier than previous games, and I think that makes it a lot less fun than the other secret final levels. Champions Road was incredibly challenging and rewarding to beat. Each section had a pretty high chance of dying which made each run intense. For this one, there are several sections where there is almost 0% chance of dying. I've loved everything else about the game so far, but that level was definitely a blemish to me.
I think there's 830 individual moon listings, but then you've got all the multimoons adding to that number.i keep seeing lots of youtuber say that there's 830 moons... where does this number come from? I'm pretty sure there's 880 moons, that's the number i've got when i completed everything, and then i had to buy the rest to get to 999

I haven't counted though, could be wrong.
uhhhh wow oh man
just... try throwing your hat on the globe again...
...you played through the entire game thinking you can't leave a Kingdom at all until the game forces you to the next one?
So I'm currently playingdarker side of moon.
Now THIS is Super Mario. I wanted an entire game of this.
And they were awesome. I wanted 5.
I'm missing capture 41. Could anyone please at least tell me the kingdom where it is?
My God those moons on theare tough as hell to get. Took me almost 20 minutes to get the main moon in the room just behind the Odyssey. I think the lower moon in that room is near impossible to get since you have to somehow get the giant bullet bill follow you all the way to the end. ffffffuuuuuu---Darker Side Kingdom
I've got like half of a probably-too-long review written up for this game and dunno if I feel like finishing it. I'm feeling kind of spent after 100%ing this.
Mostly it just puts me in the mood to play other Mario games now.
- long jump
- throw the cap
- initiate a ground pound
- immediately press AND HOLD the cap/dive button
- bounce off the cap
- dive again

Me too!
Thanks for the tip. I'll use those strats tonight.Going along the bottom path for me was the easier option. You didn't have to worry about your path being destroyed in front of you, and you had the bonus of getting both moons in one go.
While it took a few goes, once I got the timing down (also, the initial jump to the first block has to be made literally as Mario is about to walk of the edge which can be a bit tricky) all I had to do is hold down ZL and tap the A button.
Woahhh I never noticed that! Nice find. I noticed he was making different signs, but I never put 2 and 2 together and figured out why.Just noticed you're meant to play 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' against Mario every time you grab a new moon.
It's not required.I have a question about a post game purchase.
The 9999 coin skeleton outfit... is it required for the outfit achievemoon? Or can I leave that for later safely?
Ok, so there's one challenge in the game that legitimately made me angry.
It's the 2D room in the post game kingdom with the spherical platforming section. Man, that was rage inducing. Took me far too long to get a handle on the controls.
You can save it for last.I have a question about a post game purchase.
