The only thing that bothered me in the video was the waiter on the boat because that dude deserved to get yelled at. He was waiting around like he wanted a fucking tip. It's a private boat asshole, fuck off once you bring that drink! lol
Even men who try to be allies have the male ego. And it is still a fragile thing
I catch myself feeling it all the time
The message isn't that hard guys. She's not saying all men are assholes, this isn't some portrayal of herself. The guy Taylor portrays in the video is a giant ass, but he can get away with it because of his gender. Whereas if she did it, she'd be criticized for it. Like listen to the song.
These people are idiots.I still think there is a certain crowd who will see this as an attack on all men.
Who was the voice of the guy at the end? It sounded very familiar.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, it says so in the credits.Who was the voice of the guy at the end? It sounded very familiar.

The song and video are basically her saying if she had been born male, she'd have thrown herself into all the worst aspects of toxic masculinity.
That's on her. I understand the point she thinks she's making but she's only throwing shade at herself.

I hate that I love this song because it's so dumb to hear all of this from one of the biggest and richest pop stars in the world.
Hahahaha you think people actually listen these days? The message isn't that hard guys. She's not saying all men are assholes, this isn't some portrayal of herself. People are either fuckin' stupid or know exactly what the point was and are just being disingenuous. The message isn't that hard guys. It took me a bit to realize that they were flipping the typical genders involved there and that Lauren was the one who just stood there the whole time, but when I did I couldn't stop laughing because OWPretty good song, great video. Really hammered it home at the end with the director saying to be sexier and more likeable. Wonder how many times she's heard that direction.
In the song, she says she would get away with a lot more if she was a man. The video expands on that idea and shows what men get away with on the regular, especially famous men whereas women get criticized over the smallest things.
If Taylor Swift was out there bragging about her success and acting like a dickwad like MANY male stars do, she'd get cancelled instantly.
