I use Normal for video games. Cinema is too washed out for me.
Anyone got a good universal remote for this? The packed in one sucks.

The inteset one on Amazon is awesome.

I've had a harmony smart hub and remote and this thing blows it out of the water. It just works.
Odd question, but does anyone know how wide the feet on the stand are? My current tv table/stand is 39" wide and it looks like the 605's included stand is 38.6". Which doesn't leave a whole lot of room.
If you're looking to buy like now, then yes. If you can hold off until Spring wait for the 6 series(upgraded model). It's supposed to be priced the same as the current model at around $650Havent been paying attention...is this still thee cheap but good TV to buy or has anything new come along?
The feet themselves where they'll be touching a stand are about 3/4 of an inch. The length between the feet (and including them) is seemingly 38.5 inches on the front which is a bit wider than the back.
Have not seen that issue on my tcl 605. Also have a Ps4pro and xboxonex on it
I've had this TV since last July and have had no issues with my PS4 pro or the internal apps while using HDR.
But while playing an HDR content on my Xbox one X and closing it out the colors are dark on my home screen or the oranges are way over blown. It doesn't happen all the time. But it does it enough where it's getting real annoying. It happen while have the X set to wither 8 or 10 Bit so that's not the issue. The RGB color space I have set to standard, and I have allow 4:2:2 checked.
Anyone else have these issues?
Use hdr light mode on the tv, you may have to use the smartphone app to access it.
thanks :) also, does the ps4pro netflix support 4k or do I need to use netflix built in to the tv?Certainly not for consoles which would never go beyond that. Also, most 120hz TVs aren't actually 120hz.

I keep checking but nothing yet.
Oh dang there is a 4K package for Netflix? That I didn't knkwI believe the Netflix app on the pro supports 4K with HDR. The built in Netflix app supports 4K with Dolby vision. Just remember to upgrade your Netflix account to the 4K package.
Roku OS is fantastic though and I don't use my consoles for any media.
Just bought this tv for my ps4 pro. Any settings I should change right away?
I see a lot of folks using movie mode but I'll primarily be gaming. Just use gaming mode? When I do watch Netflix movies is there an easy way to swap between game mode settings and movie mode settings?
So I loaded up Netflix and upgraded to the 4K plan. When watching altered carbon it says HDR. Does that mean I'm watching it in 4K?
No.Are the TVs in OP the ones from this page? I found it on a shop but i don't know if its it or a similar, older model.
No.
There won't be a "similar" model for this until the 2018 sets hit the market.
With TCL, there's the P605/607 and then a bunch of junk. It's that specific model or nothing, honestly.
(The 2018 version of this set is called the "6 series" and will be even better.)
We really don't know yet. I'd say there's a chance since they're adding a new size (65") this year. We should know for sure in a month or so.Just discovered those models arent sold in EU. Shame.
Hope they'll change things around with the new series, is there any chance?
No.

The 2018 line is being rebranded the "6 series" and will come in both 55" and 65" sizes. Look a bit classier too. Metallic bezel. Is there a similarly bang for your buck 65" television, or will TCL be extending this model of television beyond the 55" model with its 2018 release?

All they said is the 55" 6 Series will be about the same price as the P607. No word yet on the 65" model.Awesome! Are there any rumors on what the pricing is going to be with respect to the 65"
I'll probably just upgrade my receiver for now, and patiently wait for these new televisions to drop.
The 2018 sets will be native 120hz for 1080p, yes.why do they just straight up skip 60"? the tv i want to replace is a 60, i guess ill go for the 65. are these panels native 120hz?

Not sure on the 60". Nobody really makes 50" anymore either. All the flagships are 55" and 65" for some reason.
so i bought one of these and the signal keeps crapping out on my Pro/psvr setup. i have the newer psvr which i assumed worked around issues with the breakout box but there's something about the box this tv obviously doesn't like. did the standard troubleshoot stuff - it runs fine plugged directly into the ps4, went through various cables, and my last tv had no problems with the exact same setup
was wondering if there was anything i could do on the settings (tv or ps4) to make this work. my last tv was from 2010 or so i may be behind the curve in how things may not be quite "plug n play" anymore
