Wow the colours on Crash Bandicoot HDR, with active, this is a good example :)
Waiting for pitch black to see how the darkest portions of games fare....

This works for isf dark and bright too, in fact I think it could be 21ms lag, nothing like DTM going on here, feels very responsive compared to PC.
Could be the death of PC mode?
Not for games. Their review state other modes are 63ms.its funny how RTINGS have been recommended Cinema Home since the firts C7 review but its seems that no one noticed xd
No, it's the Cinema Home mode with True Cinema, Motion Plus etc turned off. Dynamic Contrast at Low.Very exciting! Just to clarify, you folks are using the technicolor expert HDR with everything turned off? How comparable is it in brightness to HDR Standard/Cinema?
I'm stuck at work now but excited to experiment more tonight.
So for SDR on the 7 series OLEDS can we also use something other than Game or PC mode like with Cinema Home HDR? And not get hit by severe input lag?

Yes, isf picture modes in SDR, again with TruMotion and Real Cinema off. You can now leave your input on HDMI and enjoy switching between SDR and HDR without changing things. Of course if you are watching movies, tv, or video apps you'll want to turn Real Cinema back on.So for SDR on the 7 series OLEDS can we also use something other than Game or PC mode like with Cinema Home HDR? Yes, it allows HDR wich I have already tried with Netflix and works fine.So...the SEK3500 is a breakout box replacement kit for Samsung TVs, and it supposedly gives HDMI 2 + HDR? I can't find exact specs on it. Well, if you want HDR you need to make sure the cable going from your console to the box is HDMI 2.0 18Gbps ready. Beyond that this looks like it might be an RGB limited/full issue? Have you tried tweaking that?

Yeah, that works too. At least by just using another picture mode it's less menus to navigate through.Just use the other isf SDR preset for real cinema on, most people will use Cinema user for HDR films, so it's just a case of using 4 presets, 2 for each.
Ok, dont know is this is a placebo, but outside PC mode, using ISF in SDR games, l notice a couple of things:
- still think this is totally placebo but colors seems to be a little more "satured" than PC Mode, cant really test with naked eye but its give me this feel.
- Upscaling outside PC mode its A LOT better than PC on, for older consoles or nintendo Switch it can give a little bit of more PQ.
hell, even using PS4(who upscaling everytinhg to 4k) seems a more "clean" look in the image, l notice specially in older games.
the only dowsides its that we still dont know if the input lag its better(with measurements) and outside PC mode the tv upscale everyting to 4:2:2, this is really noticiable in tiny text or subs.
You have color gamut set to auto and color set to 50, right?
Yes, it allows HDR wich I have already tried with Netflix and works fine.
Following your advice I bought a 2.0 cable and now the broken characters aren't happening if i set the chanel's device as a PC.
I have tried two games for now: Shadow of the Colossus and Assasins Creed Origins. Sadly, the image is still very washed out and plus it's darker. I 've tried to tweak some options but if the display is set as PC the TV doesn't allow a lot of options.
I haven't tried yet the RGB options ... I hope those aren`t some of the locked options in PC mode.
Thanks for the advice!
What is the reason to use ISF bright or dark over the plain game mode?
Does anyone know how to get this signal boosted in the TV community? People deserve to know about this and also we need the input lag actually tested even if it does feel fine.
Can use calibrated settings, plus you can choose your colour gamut, and not be forced into wide.
Yea cinema definately lowers the input lag from around 65ms but no way it is 30ms....feels more like 35-45 seconds which is a drastic difference from 21ms and terrible for online shooters...Tried COD and felt sluggish right away...And yes I turned everything off....Games like God of War and Uncharted are fine but games like shooters or sports games that require timing like MLB is no bueno
It's definitely not mid-40s. Surely someone has a Leo Bognar device to test it once and for all...
Feel like I should just buy a 65" 900e and call it a day. I don't know how much longer I can do the TV back and forth lol
Works for 2016 models as well.
On my C6 I'm now using ISF Dark for games. ISF Bright has the same settings aside from Real Cinema On.
Was switching from ISF Dark, Bright, and Game and lag is definitely between Game and ISF Bright. Enough that I'm not bothered by it.
I returned it already. Beautiful TV but it was only 55" and honestly I think it was too bright for me.

Since the beta firmware. Not at all. If you want to preserve specular highlights lower contrast and use dynamic contrast low in game mode. What is the reason to use ISF bright or dark over the plain game mode?
Correct. No longer locked to Wide color in SDR or having to use PC.This is for SDR, right?
When using HDR for games, the only presets are HDR Game, Vivid, and Standard iirc. Or are you able to change it in some way? Not in front of my B6, so I can't check atm.
Talking about SDR no?Since the beta firmware. Not at all. If you want to preserve specular highlights lower contrast and use dynamic contrast low in game mode.

Is game mode that innacurate on the B7? I set the temp to W45, and things look decent to me.

He's talking about the 7 series and SDR.
Is this for HDR? It's actually really good to be fair.
