Kabuki Auron looks great. Weird that he's still drawing Rikku's face like that all these years later.
Nomura has a tendency to draw Rikku with kind of a weird little cat mouth and it's always been weird to me because the rest of the FFX women he draws don't get that. He also tends to give Yuffie a very similar mouth when he draws her, so I guess it's his way of going "this character is a kid". It just looks weird, ha.

I sorta loved Riku is one of few characters with a distinctive set of dimples on her
(I also loooove how 2000s her hairdo here is lol – someone get me butterfly clips!)
Bothers me EVERY SINGLE TIME. I honestly kinda hate Auron lol. His brand of "cool" reads cheesy to me. 🤣
The FF8 cast seriously does not read as 17 (butQuistisis18) year old eithers, and it didn't even when I was playing the game as a way younger kid who thought they were at least in their 20s (FF7 had it better).

He's not even the best supporting character in FF10, that's Lulu... an actual leader that is constantly working to keep the party functioning, unfortunate that they saddled her with shitty Waka at the end.

I always thought it was because they're based on Hollywood/TV show depictions of teenagers, rather than real-life teenagers.
It's less whack than his actual hairstyle, but yeah, very Japanese so might stand out on Spira.
