How could Destiny 2, a game which just launched, be nominated for 'Best On-Going Game'?

Also, if that award doesn't go to Siege or WarFrame, you'll know these voters to be professional jokesters.

Some real good nominees with some tough categories. Also amused by the random last category of Best Chinese Game.

Find it weird that Life is Strange BtS is nominated in the "Game for impact" category when the story isn't complete yet.

Oh well, Hellblade will with that award anyway.

A smattering of HZD, Nier Automata, and one vote for Persona 5 for me.

PUBG seems dumb to be so prevalent when it's not even officially out yet. It's great that it's ballooned in popularity in such a short time but that is not indicative of either good game design or longevity. It's impending core updates could brick the game and we have no idea if the console launches will be some enormous clusterfuck.

I'll be disappointed if a mess like FFXV wins over Nier in the RPG category. It'll basically signal that as long as you throw nonsense amounts of money at every market-tested idea and try to include everything, poorly, it's somehow more valuable than a meticulously crafted game that actually has something to say.

Hopefully Nier's fans turn out to vote.

It was very subtle but the way the ambient noise were used to create the world atmosphere, and how the music seeps in to the scene depending on the situation felt really great.

PUBG shouldn't be there. Not only is it an early access title, but regardless of its sales and how fun it is, it's runs like shit, is buggy as hell, and has a long way to go to being an optimized less bullshit experience.

Honestly, yes. But it wasn't obvious that was the issue since you only said not everyone can access YouTube. Sorry for assuming that was the reason you were asking.

I think the Best Performance category is one of the toughest for me to pick a winner. I could make an argument for each of the nominees pretty easily.

When I get home from work I'll be looking up the other Games For Impact nominees that I don't already know well enough. That's typically a good category to find something new and unexpected.
