It's going to be Cinderace and the Wild Area will be the stage. It'll have random weather effects and various gigantimax Pokemon will show up as stage hazards. Think a combination of Pokemon Stadium and Sky Pillar.
Oh no I forgot about that franchise. I even liked Sword but I find every Pokémon boring in Smash, except maybe Inceneroar.

Really? I felt like Rillaboom is the most popular pokémon among all the gen 8. Toxtricity doesn't seem to have similar amount of merch as starters do.
But it all depends to anime. Whoever Ash catches will be the poster boy. Right now he's yet to catch any NEW gen 8 pokémon.
It's a travesty that Dixie Kong isn't playable but there's no way she could headline DLC so not her. She's the most "obviously should be in the game but isn't for reason" character, first party at least.
I pick Ryu Hayabusa.
The lineup is already amazing though, so I'm cool with whatever.

I'd imagine base Pyra, with a mechanic similar to Joker where she'll swap out with Mythra after filling an affinity meter or something, with Sacred Arrow as the final Smash. Would be good for the character without getting spoilery.

With Ori and the Will of the Wisps just been released for Switch i am holding out hope for Ori. Just the soundtrack alone would make it a dream for me.

I hope they'll be the exception to the rule lol. I want them in because as someone who loves RFA, the moves possibilities would be endless and they would make for such a unique character
Cinderace and Lucario are the main Pokémon for the anime right now.
Not yet, in the near future. And Cinderace belongs to Goh, so does Sobble. That means Ash could be getting a Grookey and only what Ash catches matters. We're not getting another fire Pokémon anyways.
