Germany
Spanish
-Mana - En El Muelle De San Blas
-Los Enanitos Verdes - Mejor No Hablemos De Amor
-Caramelos de Cianuro - La Llama
-Molotov - Gimme Tha Power

Speaking of spanish 90s rock...

This one was very popular in Germany back then and is a classic here. It's still great, don't know if any Americans know this song though. Video is pretty dark now that I'm watching it again, so be warned there's domestic violence.

Another one that was more popular in Europe than the US, even though the band is American. Still one of my favorite 90s mainstream radio songs, with a nice, nostalgic video.

We might have took Third Eye Blind for granted. Those 3 or 4 singles they had were awesome and hold up well.

I've got a huge 90's playlist with a bit of everything on it. Alternative, rock, metal, pop, hip hop, a little country, Nu metal, vh1 style pop rock, and so forth. Basically, if I can tolerate it, it's on the list. I've been tearing it up this week. I'm always looking to add to it, so thanks for the recs folks.

I wanted to post Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm by the Crash Test Dummies but was beat.

I didn't like How Bizarre as a 90s teen, I thought it was corny. For some reason I really like it now. Does that tune fit in with alternative?

Let's see some more of that early 90s stuff, outside of the big ones. I've found a ton of awesome bands just by watching old Beavis and Butthead

This is an amazing thread that speaks to me greatly having been in high school in the later half of the 90s, so I gotta contribute. Most - if not all - of mine will be one hit wonders because I feel that was the majority of the music on the radio at that time. That said, some of the artists/groups had really decent to great albums outside of their one hit (K's Choice, Mansun, and Our Lady Peace have an amazing catalogue).

SuperDrag - Sucked Out
The Urge - Jump Right in
Artificial Joy Club - Sick & Beautiful
K's Choice - Not an Addict
Chalk Farm - Lie on Lie
The Dandy Warhols - Not if you were the Last Junkie on Earth
Eels - Novocaine for the Soul
Esthero - Heaven Sent
Forest for the Trees - Dream
Mansun - Wide Open Space
Morcheeba - Blindfold
Poe - Angry Johnny
Matchbox 20 - Long Day
Primitive Radio Gods - Standing Outside a Broken Phonebooth with Money In My Hand
Radio Iodine - Things I Do
Reacharound - Big Chair
Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You
Sneaker Pimps - 6 Undergound
Our Lady Peace - Superman's Dead
Social Distortion - I Was Wrong
Space - Female of the Species
Huffamoose - Wait
Sponge - Wax Estatic
The Verve Pipe - Cup of Tea
White Town - Your Woman
Wild Colonials - Charm
Summercamp - Drawer
That Dog. - Never Say Never
Leah Andreone - It's Alright, It's Ok
Tracy Bonham - Mother Mother
Elastica - Connection
Geggy Tah - Whoever You Are
Ashley MacIsaac - Sleepy Maggie
Placebo - Pure Morning
Luscious Jackson - Ladyfingers
Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars
Marcy Playground - Sex & Candy
Save Ferris - Come on Eileen
Black Lab - Wash it Away
Veruca Salt - Volcano Girls
Mundy - To You I Bestow
Republica - Ready to Go
Local H - Bound for the Floor
Cool for August - Don't Wanna Be Here
This list is amazing, thank you!! And thank you for including so many tracks by women who are often forgotten about. Angry Johnny was one of my absolute favorites in the 90s but Save Ferris is also A+!

Pavement and Silver Jews.

Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain and American Water are the best albums of the 90s.

This is possibly the deepest of deep cuts.

Great album too!

Also Luscious Jackson! I'm getting uni flashbacks.

edit - oh god Tracy Bonham too.

Only thing you're missing for me is something from Unkle's Psyence Fiction and Massive Attack.

How did I not put Massive Attack on there?! That's a huge mistake in my part that I will be fixing.

Hey. Remember when it switched overnight to a Latin music station with no warning?

I miss the hfstivles. The only good use of rfk for like a decade straight. Even when the bands weren't the greatest the atmosphere and amount made up for it.

It wasn't even overnight! It was like 11:59AM to 12:00PM. I was walking into the Arnold post office and had HFS on, when I came back El Zol was in full effect. I had like 4 texts asking if I was hearing what I was hearing.

HFStivals were so fucking good.
