Something has to intentionally be an homage in order to be an homage. Not just because you think they look similar

In 2003 in the theater when I saw this movie, the only thing I thought of when Trinity landed in that pose in the opening scene, was Yoji Shinkawa's art of Gray Fox landing in that same pose. How the fuck have we gotten this thread into what it's become?!?

This kind of poses were featured in all sorts of media before Matrix came out, several examples were already given in this thread, any of them could have influenced this particular scene in The Matrix.
