I still can't get over how the first guy smoothly grabbed one and ran off.

I'm curious to see what Sony has planned for TLOU Part 2. That has to be Sony's biggest IP in terms of mindshare at this point. I expect them to go all out with bundles and the like when the game finally comes out.

If i was sony i d release blu ray less ps4 with 250 or 500gb for $149. Its like perfect machine for casuals who only play fifa or cod. If they want something more games re there, upgrade hdd etc. Psn has sales all the time. Ps4 ll surpass ps2 profits thats for sure.

Without looking it up, 1TB HDDs are probably cheaper than 250GB HDDs these days. Those costs depends far more on production numbers than on disc size.

TBH, I'm not sure Sony will ever get the price down to $149 because the HDD requirement alone is fairly costly. Though I guess they could release a SKU that relies on users having an external HDD instead of an internal one.

A smaller, mostly silent BR-less PS4 for $149 would make quite a few people I know double (and triple) dip. They could release an external BR alongside.

Casuals don't wanna be messing out with external HDD's though

I don't think X1 is big competition for PS4, and Switch is doing its own thing. Sony is PS4's biggest enemy.
I also feel there's nothing stopping the PS4 from selling as much as the PS2 even, except for Sony themselves. They just need to repeat the PS2 strategy and see it fly off the shelves. The PS brand is booming in parts of the world where people pnly cared for the X360. If they can reach most audiences, especially those that won't pay more than $100 for most products, I think PS4 might have a chance at being the highest selling console of all time.
