Picture it, the DNC, 2020 -

Amy Klobuchar accepts the nomination for President after decimating her opposing campaigns, at one literally lobbing an Office Max at Pete Buttigieg. What follows is a montage of celebrities singing Fight Song. But it's a little different from last time -

This Fight Song is where I am emotionally rn regarding this Executive branch and GOP.

Susan Collins refused to hold Trump accountable and said he had "learned a lesson." He hasn't learned anything—he's now punishing Lt. Col. Vindman, a man who served this country and had the courage to speak the truth. It's time for a Senator who will stand up f...

Not just Chris Matthews who is constantly talking shit about Bernie on MSNBC, either. Yesterday morning I heard Joe Scarborough say that Bernie would bankrupt the country if he became president and was able to pass any of his agenda. Tuck Chodd is always scaremongering about him, too.

If this is the kind of coverage he gets on the left slanted media channel I can only imagine the shit slinging we'd see from the more mainstream outlets. Hell, we may see outright favoritism towards Trump just because these places are desperate not to potentially mess with their beloved stock market.

Not sure what else you would expect from Joey Scar et al.

I thought just yesterday about how lucky Gary Peters must feel. He'll be fine with either Biden or Sanders at the top of the ticket - as in, he can run well with both of them. They both complement him on labor and unions.

+CO+AZ+ME+NC-AL would do that.

Or +CO+AZ+ME-AL, Romney goes I, the ultimate MODERATE MORMON MAVERICK
I've been thinking about that latter scenario alot lately. The Mormons have been relatively sour on Trump compared to other religions and Trump certainly isn't doing himself any favors with how he treated Romney since the acquittal. The Mormons aren't stupid and know full well that the evangelists despise them, so when does the math work out for them go independent and get more political power by not being tied to either party?

Crazy Nancy Pelosi's Impeachment Hoax has lifted Republican Congressional Polls (she lost the House once before!), and my Polls, WAY UP, which was expected, but it has had a great effect on Republican Senate races, including North Carolina, Kentucky, Colorado and Arizona...

Notice he doesn't say Maine. And LOL at Gardner getting a boost.

Klobuchar doesn't get the kind of scrutiny that she probably deserves because she has never been a viable candidate and still isn't. Her big Iowa surge where she punched above her weight still put her in a fairly distant 5th.

Also damn Pete's hand went up MAD QUICK when Sanders attacked him on billionaire donors. Felt more like an act of admission than a contention..
Yeah, real bizarre why anyone would want to respond to an attack aimed at them...

My problem with the current democratic race, ok so a lot of comparisons are made between trump and Bernie as far as they pulling the parties to themselves to win it all, problem is, deep down all republicans want is a white nationalist state, meanwhile most democrats don't want socialist government.

Years of republicans making government inefficient has worked, people don't want the government in their healthcare etc. I think people just want a president in the background, and not someone who's gonna attempt to fundamentally change our economic system.

While we worry about whether "Bernie bro's" will vote for a moderate, I think the opposite is more worrying. I worry about the moderates not voting Bernie. 2018 and the type of democrat that won in Obama-> Trump districts is who we should be running.

If you think this is true then you just capsized your own support of Warren.

Sanders has virtually the same favorability as Biden, high above all other candidates. If your argument is that every Democrat is going to lose the general election because they all have favorability weaknesses, by all means. But to insinuate there are those who won't vote for Sanders specifically is unfounded based on all polling.

Funny this tweet went out earlier today. Stats and polling Twitter were talking about how, if it isn't Biden, Sanders is going to be very hard to beat because of how well-favored he is.

If this race ever were to come down to Sanders vs. Bloomberg, count me skeptical Biden/Buttigieg/Klobuchar voters would coalesce to "Stop Bernie." Why? Fav/unfav among Dem voters (1/22
@MonmouthPoll
): Sanders: 72/24 Bloomberg: 48/31

Something to think about today when you want a nasty headache.

From last May:

McConnell Would Fill Potential Supreme Court Vacancy In 2020, Reversal Of 2016 Stance

Speaking to an audience in Kentucky on Monday, McConnell said should a vacancy occur on the court in 2020, another presidential election year, he would allow a vote.

He was asked at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon: "Should a Supreme Court justice die next year, what will your position be on filling that spot?"

McConnell responded with a grin, "Oh, we'd fill it."

Because that's how our country works now.

Well, if you were going to put a form of public execution on a campaign shirt that's probably somehow the least problematic form.

So congrats I guess.

I'm still checking them out. They're an NB (they/them) SocDem. I'm seated calmly and quietly on the Gideon train but I'm certainly interested in their campaign. They're certainly very aggro.
Def hope it at least brings soc dems out to vote in the primary and helps them stay engaged for the general.

How in the hell is a logo that says "I want to kill rich people" not something that's absolutely disqualifying to you?

At this rate, depending on SC and Spooper Tuesday results, is it possible Biden might drop out after ST?

Never really even entertained the thought until now.

I want to tax rich people exorbitantly and redistribute the money to help society. The thought of seeing anyone beheaded makes me ill.

I also oppose the death penalty and executions in general - a position I would assume all progressive people share. Even joking about the topic seems at the very least macabre. But I'm just a milquetoast liberal not cut out for a workers' revolution, I guess.

There might be some races where that imagery might be okay to use, and yeah, Susan Collins has made some shitty ass votes, but the guillotine isn't going to go well. Especially in Maine.
