I do think there's both a policy and identity reason to be wary of Beto, at least right now.
The policy reason is that Beto is more than lean on more than a few issues, and had some awkward moments in the campaign (see: ICE) where I'm not quite sure where's he's staking himself out politicaly. His politics seems more of giving people the feeling they BELONG in a movement which is SUPER important, but if you're a wonk, I think it's okay to be a bit suspicious of where Beto is on the ideological spectrum.
The identity reason to be wary is, well, he's a white man. After 2018, is that the person we should nominate? I legitimately don't know, but I get why that would be a negative for people.

Because it'd have to do a locale check to implement it properly so the American contingent get this instead.

This button was located in the TOP left for me (its three lines on top of each other). I'm on a laptop - maybe its different for mobile. I figured I should mention this for others that might be reading.
How do I get rid of the left side bar and restore my full-screen view of the thread? I prefer to have those options at the top of the page rather than squishing the reading content to the right.
hit the hamburger button in the top left corner (the three line dealie next to the resetera logo) to toggle the side panel on/off

I like it. All of the new stuff can be basically toggled off and you can use emojis, so a net positive.
I do hope that the general slowness of everything is just temporary though. All of the new features in the world aren't worth reducing the website to 2007 speeds.
