The rationalization for recreating Bernard...that was dumb. Dolores is dumb. Joy and Nolan are both quite dumb.
LmaoBro, when Bernard said he killed "all of you" I thought for a second he dropped nukes on the whole world.
I'm almost impressed on the absolute nihilistic view on mankind this show maintains, and confirms, again and again. Even with supposedly hero moments like Sizemore's complete vain stupid sacrifice, you can only think back to how the Logan the Architect just reduced humanity as one of the most embarrassing and simplistic blips that the universe shat out following rudimentary patterns and incapable of actual change and meaning. Not something that's common to see in mass media, that's for sure. Even the sympathetic humans, which is like 2 now, are nothing floating in nothing, believing they actually have a choice or even matter. And the world ends up destroyed anyways, along with presumably humanity so I guess in the end it's confirmed.
This is like the anti-BSG even though they play with similar themes of cycle and death.
if you're rooting for anyone other than Delores in Westworld from the beginning, then I don't know what to tell you.Pretty much. The bleakness exhibited by the show was always kind of brutal, but this episode made it abundantly clear that the showrunners have zero faith in humanity.
The sad part is that none of the remaining hosts are worth following. So who the fuck are we supposed to root for now?
This is what I'm confused onSo if Dolores took Bernard's marble to the real world who is in his body on the beach
She shot Bernard as Hale then took the brain marble out of his head and left the park. Bernard was shot in the most recent timeline, not the old one. There's nothing in his old body now.So if Dolores took Bernard's marble to the real world who is in his body on the beach

Its cracked me up all season that neither underwood rachel evenwood nor nolan/joy seem to realize that Delores is the villain. Like and its not even ambiguous.Dolores is really just an awful character. The show wants us to think she's the protagonist, but the only way they can accomplish this is by being as cynical as humanly possible about the entire human cast and make every living human into a complete shitbag.
Poor Elsie.
If youre rooting for her in S2 you were also rooting for walter white in the final two seasons of BB despite the fact he was very clearly the villian at that point. Delores is not a good person (host).if you're rooting for anyone other than Delores in Westworld from the beginning, then I don't know what to tell you.
I guess we now root for BernardDolores was sympathetic in the first season. S2 Dolores is a villain.
HaleWas Elsie killed by Hale or Halores? The talk about her morality makes me think that it happened because Halores read Elsie's book but her death seemed to be the impetus of Bernard's plan. Or am I missing something that Hale knew about Elsie?
Delos was watching everyone in the park including the employees. Real Hale read Elsie's file and determined that she was too shifty to keep around alive. Was Elsie killed by Hale or Halores? Same. Terrible character that really didn't amount to anything after so much screen time.So glad they killed Elise she deserved to die for being such a damn idiot all season.
He's still Professor X to her magneto. But Bernard has pretty much passed through the moral event horizon now too, as far as I can tell. He went from being a sympathetic antithesis to Dolores' "burn it all down" psychosis, but now it seems like he's come around to her way of thinking.
But professor X never came around to Magneto's side. Bernard did.

Literally the first thing I thought of during their exchange at the end lol
Hmmm You're right. But professor X never came around to Magneto's side. Bernard did.
But didn't the recently built Bernard reference the past several times? "Is this now?" + remembering the events of Season 2 according to his last conversation before Dolores left his house?Dolores didn't take Bernard's marble. Bernard essentially fried his own brain anyway. She made a new one and based it off the Bernard she remembered.
You don't have to root for anyone. Even when you root for the robots who love each other, it ends badly.Pretty much. The bleakness exhibited by the show was always kind of brutal, but this episode made it abundantly clear that the showrunners have zero faith in humanity.

I find the demoralising tone make up part of an effective horror.
They're pretty brave dragging out the William storyline. Ed Harris looking old af, mf gonna die before they even get to filiming the post apocalyptic stuff.
