What group of gamers are the loudest minority?

What I mean by this, is a group of people bound by some gaming famdom or opinion, which is rare or niche, but whom are consistently known or heard of in the gaming community.

The more "unique" the opinion, the more adamant and loud they tend to be.

Examples:

The Digimon > Pokemon group.
The FF13 is the best Final Fantasy group.
The GameCube had a better library than the PS2 group.

And so on and so forth.

Though, it's quieted down a bit over the last couple years as a lot of the promises from 5 years ago haven't really materialized as quickly or as prominently as the VR evangelists projected it would. I don't think I've ever engaged with someone who blanket defends microtransactions. Like, I've seen people defend their favorite game that might have microtransactions, but I don't know of anybody who loudly defends the concept of microtransactions.
