What movie is the best "King of the Box Office"

-Birth of a Nation (come the fuck on)
-Gone with the Wind
-The Sound of Music (don't really see anyone talk much about it these days like the other ones)
-Avatar (Era hates this movie, not a contender on this site)

Ranking what I've seen:

Star Wars > Endgame > Avatar > the Godfather

All four are good movies though. The first three are contenders for my favorite movie in their year of release IMO.

I should probably watch all of them though. It's kind of ridiculous that I've never seen Titanic, Jurassic Park, or ET. I guess I watched the first like third of the Sound of Music when I was a kid and thought it was kind of boring.

I like how Avatar isn't even a poll option. Sums it up perfectly.

As for me, I personally voted Star Wars, though I feel it ties with Godfather as number one, and with Jurassic Park a close second.

The only reason Titanic isn't dead last is that its not offensively racist and pro-South like Gone With the Wind is.

I was too young to see it in theatre but throughout my childhood it dominated every category... toys, cards , posters , clothes , everything

Also just had to say I have yet to finish the godfather yet I find it boring ... I've tried at least 5 x .

As far as theatrical experiences, Jurassic Park and Avatar are the only ones that were impressive, as id only seen Star Wars on VHS as a kid so it was always more passive entertainment.

I don't dislike Avatar though. Easily one of the most memorable in theater experiences I've had and doubt I'll get another one like it in my lifetime. All good to great films on that list.

I haven't seen the rest or only have vague memories of them.

But I'm almost tempted to say Sound of Music at 4) because I saw an anime based on edit: the book that inspired both :v
