I want to say that Capcom knows that the market is still there for the Switch. After all, gaming on the go with the Switch seems like the norm in Japan (or any handheld gaming device), and it does feel like Capcom wouldn't pack it up and leave Switch if they bothered to bring Generations Ultimate to the west.
Now as for the form it will take, that's the biggest question that I have no idea how to answer. Not to say that the Switch can't match the PS4 or X1, but you could argue that might be a reason or two why we didn't see MHW for Switch yet. You could say maybe it was because World was made at the time before the Switch came out. But it will be a head scratcher if they decide to make the next MH game where there are two different versions (one for Home consoles and one for "Handheld" Home consoles), or if they will make it where it will indeed be for all consoles, but the Switch would be seen as the "under performer" when you compare it to what the Pro and the X can do.
...
Then again, considering the rumor being passed around for a "New Switch Model" coming soon, that could be a fun time to drop the news of how a possible "more powerful" Switch could come out and we could see the announcement of MHW for Switch then. No guarantees of course, but it is possible.
