TOTK is my GOTY. I'll probably be playing it for many more months before I finish it. The amount of content is staggering.

Just Metroid Prime Remastered, which really shouldn't be a GOTY contender. The entire key hunt towards the last part of the game is trash and honestly the Ridley fight is pretty bad as well. It's a solid upgrade over the original but not GOTY.

starfield would normally be of interest, but there's no reason for me to play it today instead of whenever my computer gets upgraded. but by the time that happens, other games will probably steal my attention

"GOTY-worthy" game i was most likely to play would be midnight suns, but i hate superhero shit

counterstrike is very boring compared to what i'm accustomed to, so i'm confident counterstrike 2 would be of no interest to me

only competitive game on that list i recognize is street fighter, but i don't play reflex contests

don't currently have a nintendo. last one i had was just collecting dust. zelda is something i would buy, but probably not make time to play

• Baldur's Gate - Was into it pretty deep and Starfield killed momentum. Finding it hard to go back and finish.
• The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - 30 hours. Not for me.
• Marvel's Spider-Man 2 - Platinum. It was fine.

• Cocoon - Very cool. Would've loved more.
• Starfield - 300 hours!
• Final Fantasy 16 - Loved loved loved.
• Diablo 4 - 100 hours-ish?

• Super Mario Bros. Wonder - About 2 worlds left. Play these in bites.
• Hi-Fi Rush - multiple times. My GOTY by far.
• Dead Space - I don't know how I finished it originally. Too creepy. Made it maybe 50%
• Sea of Stars - 10 hours or so and fell off. Starfield got in the way.

AC: Mirage is sitting on my counter, awaiting my completion of Remnant 2. I played Metroid back in the day.

Sea of Stars. Didn't like.

RE4. I thought I'd like it more than I did, but haven't even finished it as kinda RE4'd out I guess.

FF16. A game of super high highs and very low lows, the highs are some of my favourite moments of the year though.

Played through the campaign then dropped it. Felt too much like running on autopilot. Much prefer D2R.

Surprisingly disappointing but the driving model is good so I'd come back to it after some updates.

My first AC & I really enjoyed it. Need to go back and finish it still. Deep, challenging but fair and fun to play.

I'm a little lower on this than most people in that I wouldn't compare it to classic 2D Mario but still a great game.

Incredibly year for games. I would add Jusant, HFW Burning Shores and Venba to the list of 2023 games I enjoyed with Jusant near the top. And I still have plenty to catch up on.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon: ~20 hours, was great. "souls" games are not really my thing but this one really sucked me in. We really don't have enough games where you are an giant robot imo
