This place loves to post job positions, especially when someone joins a company (very stalker-ish).
Some of these threads hurt.
They already had people in strategy positions within Xbox.
Yeah, this just means there is an opening on a team that every company has. A mid-level role at that.
MS is going to keep making acquisitions, but this job posting is not really news.

This. So, so, so much this. I'm surprised we didn't get a topic about the Sony Gaming Corp Dev opening.
This gen is already shaping up to be a good one for multi-plat owners and it's only going to become more obvious going forward.
Gamers who paid their $400 (probably on a PS4, let's be real) because they were happy to miss the other side's output aren't going to find it so easy this generation. And they'll be pissed off at that, but they created the circumstances where this was necessary.
I'd rather there were no exclusives, but if we're collectively going to celebrate and encourage that, this was always going to be the end game. Especially with the shadows of Amazon and Friends looming on the horizon.

Edit: I realize this is normal for large corporations, but it says somethjng that they are hiring several upper leadership/middle leadership that is dealing with M&A, maybe they are carving out a newer department?

I'm sure that someone at Microsoft must still be pissed off that they were laughed out of the building when they tried to purchase Nintendo
Companies don't employ people they don't need. So no all companies don't have this and certainly not down the way into specific divisions.
They will need all the studios they can get to keep on feeding Gamepass.
I really doubted them going ham after the Zenimax deal with purchases but I guess Microsoft wants it all.
Kind of seems like she is being groomed as part of the Xbox leadership team, perhaps Spencer is eyeing her as his successor.

But as horrible as it would be for a lot of reasons, that certainly would be a fascinating thing to watch go down.
