Hope they have a decent stream of shipments through the rest of the year for those of y'all who couldn't grab one yet <3
Selling out of your launch allotment is a accomplishment? I'd be more worried if you could easily preorder by this time right now.
I'll be honest after the PS5 and 3080 farces last week, I'd assumed today would have been much easier for folks to get what they wanted. Didn't expect this kind of buzz.
I was under the impression the XB1 pre-sell and launch numbers outpaced the 360 for at least the first year.
I would imagine so, their preorder numbers in 2013 forced them to change their entire digital entitlement system and online check-ins

Maybe the retailers called Phil on his cell phone and told home the series X/S sold out faster than the PS5.
The first half of the tweet isn't really what matters, its just them just trying to soften the blow for a lot of folks who were waiting weeks to buy the X and missed out. Sucks for those folks because it looks like their only options now are to pay the scalper price or to just wait.

Yep. Although for preorders they are limited by the number of units they can produce. Same with Sony.
Big holidays incoming for all 3 when it comes to hardware no doubt. Has MS said anything about how their shipments this year compare to XB1 in 2013?

It can't be just XB1 ... that wouldn't be a record if it weren't something all-time
37 countries on November 10th, 41 by this holiday (Brazil doesn't have an exact November date iirc).
Versus 13 countries for the Xbox One for most of its first year.

Considering everything we know so far indicates XSX and XSS stock was less than PS5, I doubt it.
