Xenoblade is one of the very few franchises I shill out hard for, and I'd like to lock it down before finances become any worse with the current situation in the world. It's the one thing I plan on making a big expenditure for while hoarding the rest for living expenses as safety for job security and the like.

Definitely would like to see the connection that Alvis as the Monado is Ontos, which would make him a Aegis Blade and Shulk a Driver.
The customization is based entirely on gacha though which isn't a rewarding system since it's random. In XB1 you get rewarded for exploring the world and you actually control what you want to customize.
So I guess that Gamestop re-printing of the first game after it was so hard to find that I never played has become a bit of a wasted purchase.

The method of customization isn't gacha in terms of money spent, but you won't hear hardly anyone defend the way the blade rolls work. However regardless of the method, there is more customization and in greater depth in XB2. Which is what I was calling out. Not the methodology.
I think XB2's actual system is way better, but hate the gacha. But when Torna came out the problem became that all that build diversity was almost gone because of the fact that everyone was locked into blades. I believe in the middle, with preset blades and then optional blades that can be freely swapped between drivers is the perfect blend of the system.
Regardless there is less customization in XB1, but we'll see if they change the system at all.

No, that never happened. Shulk and Fiora came to the XB2 world for the challenge mode, but that has questionable canonicity. (Elma was there too, so...)
You get Blades out of Gacha, but everything else (Gems, addons, upgrades) you get in shops or off monsters.
I've not played XC but what I got from XC2 ending is that they are parallel universe born from the experiment, at the end they just go back on their world but without the sea of cloud
At the end of XC2 the cast go on a new world that were formed by a sort of "pangea" of all the titans. There's a possibility that the new world at the end of XC1 is the same

Rufus Jones is who played Dunban originally, I didn't notice a voice difference myself but I have only watched it once.
Have they rerecorded all the lines too? They sound pretty similar to me.
