So is Forspoken being sent to die? If FF16 is really only a few months later the 16 marketing hype train will steamroll Forspoken.

Well one is Xenoblade and the other is done by the same company.
This game was in development for a while. We just haven't heard about it.

Then again, FFX's battle system was designed by Front Mission's designer, so in the end it could be nothing like DMC. Time will tell (and soon!)

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to delay that game further if it releases near FF16. Last time they showed it, it seemed like it could use as much dev time as it can get.

Elden Ring would be in a different fiscal year than FF16 and Starfield isn't even on the same platform.
Sony successfully marketed TLOU2 and GoT, which released 4 weeks from each other.
If Forspoken bombs depends on other factors than FF16 releasing months later or not.
It hasn't been officially announced but the debut trailer music sounds like him.
Most assume so given the music in the trailer sounds similar to XIV music, but nothing's confirmed yet
Unless FFXVI is released before Forspoken say early September it should have a good marketing campaign before it.

i'd keep an eye out for SE's earnings call. If they are presenting it instead of Sony then we could get an announcement for SE Presents right around June.
VII Remake was fully blown out in Square Event so i'm using the same logic and expect SE to be the one showcasing it in full
