No Direct till e3 would be understandable if there were more games scheduled for release before then.

Is it really only Animal Crossing and various old games getting dlc between now and then? Crazy if so.

Maximum fanxiety. We will have not one but two non-general Directs before the February Direct! Indie World and Animal Crossing Direct let's go

I don't think they'll make a whole Animal Crossing Direct, to be frank. Not exactly sure what would go into it.

Hello everyone. I'm fresh new here and i wanted to join the community because i like this place. I started following during this weeks where we are lacking a Direct, and honestly i'm really hungry, i want one especially because i'm not a fan of Pokemon and Smash (please Nintendo stop with dedicated stuff already), and because i never played an Animal Crossing and i don't know if i want to play one. I hope one comes soon because i already played TMS#FE on the Wii U so i did not feel to buy it again, since they did not add enough to me. Anyway even though i hope for a general Direct, i don't mind having an AC dedicated Direct too, so i can see more of it and decide if i will take it or not. What concerns me is the long run, would there be enough for me to keep playing it? :\

I can't answer this definitively since New Horizons shall be my first foray into the franchise but anecdotally I can tell you that one of my roommates has managed to log over 200 hours on the 3DS title, lol.

Welcome! I'm not an animal crossing fan, but the impression I get is that it's definitely one of those evergreen games you play for a really long time

When's the financial briefing again

edit: also , since we are sharing our AC playtimes, I sank 350 hours into new leaf. My most played was probably the Gamecube game because of the NES games, but I didn't keep track of my total playtime.

#TeamMarch #TeamE3

They revealed the FE Expansion stuff and Byleth in Smash outside of a Direct, so there won;t be one anytime soon.
To be fair FE DLC has never been in a direct anyway. Also they probably thought Byleth wasn't really a good fit for a direct maybe and wanted to get what was likely going to be tepid reception out of the way

Thank you! The game looks stunning to me, and i kind of like the concept. But if to make me play it every day i can only "water the plants" (is it right? I'm not english so i used Google Translate lol) it would feel boring to me :\ An achievements system or some mini games would make me buy it. That's why i don't mind a dedicated Direct, to see more of the Tom Nook Miles concept for example

Yep. And it's crazy to think that Nintendo will be silent for too much longer. Considering that Sony will be unveiling PS5 soon, there's no way Nintendo lets the news cycle stay there.

Nintendo are extremely in every single they do. The tweet was definitely a connection, not just some poster tweeting it at random, Nintendo can be fun and have personality's as well. Look at their fun reveal directs, they like to troll for fun too! So I agree with you 100 percent. There was somewhat a connection!
It wasn't

All good, congrats on becoming a mod I hadn't noticed! :o
Thanks!

Hey, congrats on becoming a mod. Cool to see long-time folks move that way.

Now that you have your mod powers, please distribute your peaceful vibes to the rest of the thread and help people calm down. That's within your power, right?

Oh you wouldn't believe the powers I have.

For example, this morning I botched a simple poll edit.

At this point I don't care if in January or early February, just give me a Direct sonner than later... I really hope is worth the wait at the end.

I would prefer a general direct first - but based on how they've rolled things out I'd expect it to be a Animal Crossing direct first now.

Kind of feels like they are getting some of the announced games / game specific directs out of the way with Pokemon DLC, Smash DLC, and likely AC now.

Then kind of a clean slate when they do a general direct.

10% New Horizons
40% Tom Nook in Smash
50% Amiibo Festival Switch port
Something like that would work, sure, the thing is, I don't see them launching another AC game at the moment. If New Horizons was out and getting updates, I could certainly see it (with a different spin-off pick, at least).

I'm guessing what would go into it is talking about animal crossing.
Animal Crossing details, hopefully
You know, if that's the expected level of metadetail, I may as well get onto TeamKirbyDirect.

I mean there's no way we get a general direct before animal crossing that doesn't have AC in it.

Even if there is an animal crossing direct

Meanwhile Nintendo is still preventing pre-orders of Animal Crossing in Japan until they unveil more infos about special editions or stuff like that.

This is what i find really weird. Info is gonna come through magazines and stuff like that and still no info thorugh a Direct. There's gotta be some explanation to this...
