Nice, so all our digital licenses, become Play Anywhere now?

I think they'll announce the X enhancement tomorrow as well. Wouldn't make sense if they ONLY did a Win 10 / PC announcement.

I sadly never finished this game and it was the biggest draw for me to pick up an Xbone. Was super excited to win a Fizzy plush thanks to the detectives at the old site.

Hope this ends up play anywhere, but if not I'm rebuying on Steam

It would be hilarious if the reason they are shoving this out the back door like this is because of there being no Xbox One X patch.

Would say it all if that's the case. More worried about upsetting Xbox fans than they are about seeing and acting on an opportunity to market towards those who play on PC.

The ideal situation is that every game they realease on PC is on the windows store, Steam and gets an X patch but fucking hell... we just had a perfect event where they could have announced this for the PC and said "hey look, we are listening, that's why it's also coming to steam". But alas...

This pretty much confirms it's not play anywhere. Play anywhere titles share achievements across platforms. (unless he's wrong about it, but he usually has good info on these things)

You'd think if there was going to be an X patch in addition to the PC version, this might have gotten at least a 30 second sound bite this past weekend at their big show, especially considering this is dropping literally less than 7 days later.

For a company so eager to embrace the PC gaming community, Microsoft sends to genuinely not give a shit about the PC gaming community.

So you find it funny that there are some upset gamers and sunset wont be able to be played better on console?

They don't give a shit mate.

I went to buy the Forza 7 car pass last night because it was on discount only to find that the discount only applies if you are an Xbox live gold subscriber. Why should this nonsense apply to those who only play their games on PC?

So you find it funny that there are some upset gamers and sunset wont be able to be played better on console?

Breathe, take a step back, read the words in front of you.

It's not about you or anyone else who yearns for an X patch.

Is this closer to Spider Man where there is a ton to do but does not take a long time, so no real affecting quality of the story. Or closer to Assassin's Creed Unity where soon as I can open the map, I can't see the ground there are so many "collectibles"

Cause Spider Man was essentially one of 3 open world game I've actually enjoyed.

Since it's releasing on Steam what are the chances it comes to PS4? Just asking. Anyone know PC specs to see if I'd be able to run it?

I'm excited to try this. I haven't played an Insomniac game since the first Ratchet and Clank game. I've always heard great things about them (Resistance 3 is supposed to be a stellar shooter) so I might have to give Sunset a shot tomorrow.

1) Insomniac owns the IP and is the sole copyright claimant of the game itself, but Microsoft still has publishing rights, so a port to a competing console platform is out of the question for the time being.
2) The system requirements haven't been announced or otherwise revealed yet. Edit: See Nosgoth's post below.

You're best off assuming it's the same exact game as the original, which the XBone ran fine. So if you've been playing any AAA games on your PC in the past four years then you're probably fine.

Oh, you missed out dearly on R&C A Crack in Time. Still their best game, IMO, but Sunset is pretty high up there too.

Yes, our local key seller site (which is officially partnered with thqnordic) actually listed the game and requirements:

Min:
Windows 7 SP1 or higher
8 GB
Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.0hz || AMD-FX-6300
Geforce 750 Ti || AMD Radeon R7 260X
30 GB

Rec:
Windows 10
8 GB
Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.5hz || AMD-FX-8350
Geforce 970 or Geforce GTX 1060 || AMD Radeon R9 290x or Radeon RX 480
30 GB

And it has sensible regional pricing, so already bought.

It's clearly going to be added around when they do that interview tomorrow. Stores like steam operate on PST and typcially games go live around 10 am PST, give or take.

If you feel it's hard to give empathy for those Xbox One X owners, just imagine a scenario where Valve put out a game but your 1060 gaming PC could only run at 30fps 900p. Better yet, they then go and anounce a Xbox One X 4K enhanced version.

I can't wait to see what this game looks like downsampled from 8k with all the settings cranked. should be awesome.

Even though a lot of great games have come out over the past few years, I'd still say this is one of my favorite games from this gen, and one of my favorite Insomniac games (right along with Spiderman). Traversal is so much fun and the weapon variety is fantastic. If this is cross buy with already owning the Xbox digital version, then that's probably just the excuse I need to finally play through the DLC.
