They for sure will mention:
-Bayonneta 1+2 Wet climax Ultra
-Release date for Kirby on Q1
-Release date for Yoshi on Q2
-Release date for Wolfenstein 2 on Q1
-Teaser for FE and launch window
-Teaser of M&R DLC
-Smaller Teaser about MP4
-Maybe 2-3 3rd parties (Injustice 2 Maybe)
THIS. And maybe I´d add some minor new Nintendo announcement, like a Wii U port or a medium budget game. Anything is else, is a plus and a surpirse. Mark my words.

(There isn´t an official announcement of the Direct yet, and the thread is already +100 pages. Good to see NintendERA is such good shape).

Oh yeah, what are the odds we hear about this VR thing they have according to insider teases? I'm still not sure how it would work with the base Switch, but Vern at least seemed to indicate it's something they've been demoing to publishers.

Seems like more of an E3 thing I guess, if it's real.

I'm totally expecting Kirby, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, third parties and one or two heavy hitters announcements.

Those seem like extremely reasonable expectations. That would probably be a pretty nice Direct, and I honestly couldn't see anything less than that. So I think I'll be happy.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is in works and is gonna release in 2018 around October.

The second entry sold 5m+ copies and was one of the best-selling 3DS games and not belonging to already successful series.

Anyone hype for some non traditional Nintendo IPs?!

I know Koizumi probably meant motion control games and new IPs but I can't help but wonder about stuff like Startropics, Murasame Castle and Mach Rider...

My predictions, IF it's a 2018 direct and not a Q1/Q2 direct:

SMT V character trailer, only in Japan, still no gameplay
Bayonetta 3 gameplay, releases Q4 2018
A reminder that Attack on Titan 2 for Switch is out by March 15
A reminder that Wolfenstein II will also be out this year, please be excited
New casual IP that takes advantage of HD rumble and is 8-88 yo friendly
Konami is porting an old game to switch with small new twists
Pokémon game world teaser
Animal Crossing Switch
Full Fire Emblem Switch reveal
Full Octopath details and release date

Tomorrow is definitely possible, especially with all the rumors going around. Nintendo is probably aware of it and might not want to drag this out. But Tuesday is the highest probability.

Just give me more western ports of games! I know I could and would rather play most AAA stuff on PC, but there's a strange sort of appeal to having those games run on hardware like the Switch. I wanna see what PUBG and Red Dead 2 look like on Switch.

Pubg would run at like 2fps and be like 180p

What does this mean?

Either Google translate is not helping or Rosti is being extremely abstract and poetic:

Faint sound in depth one complex pattern. Floating in solitude without color or to emit light? The next story, the next weeks? Dark eyes twinkling, "ready" is only an illusion. The original I'm completely the sensibilities of the age.

Possibly both.

Anyone expecting any "and it's out after this Direct concludes!" eShop announcements?

I don't get why people keep saying this is not E3.
When it's June we should keep expectations low because E3 is not important as it used to be.
When it's January we should keep expectations low because it's not June... When should we keep expectations on a good level then?

I'm totally expecting Kirby, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, third parties and one or two heavy hitters announcements.
Who says that E3 isn't the place to announce games lol? What big games can we expect from Nintendo for Switch for Fall 2018? Pokemon, Animal Crossing 2D Mario? All these games are typically always announced at E3 or for Pokemon few weeks before. Last Retro's game was TF which was also announced there even if it was originally planned to release few months after. This year we still had Pokemon, Yoshi, Kirby and MP4 announced at E3 among others.

There is of course always the possibility that Nintendo is going to change the way they have been used to announce their games for years but right now nothing can let us believe that the January 2017 Presentation was meant to be more than a one time thing for the launch of the console. It would be a great idea to do something similar though, that was a great way to build hype for the system imo.

I'm going to take a wild guess that Celeste will be featured in someway. I think it was part of the initial switch reveal and we only have a vague January release date. It would be great if it was available immediately after the direct

This sounds realistic. The only thing I see differently on is bayo3. Instead of that Nintendo will tease a new ip. If the new ip is by retro q4 release, if it is made by anyone else july at the latest.

Thing is Next level games made Dark Moon and most likely would get a shot at 3. But their last game, federation force, was out in 2016. They'd probably need at least another year of dev time before releasing another game.

I just want my Pokémon Mystery Dungeon for Switch Nintendo. That's all it would take to make me happy.

Google Translate: Complex pattern of deep emotion with faint sound. Is it floating in colorless loneliness or is it emitting light? Next story, the next week? The eyes of the dark blink, "preparation" is only an illusion. Originality that conveys the sensibility of the times.

NLG has 77 employees. They don't work at only one game per time. LM3 will release in 2018, two years after FF. They will have 2 years of full development + at least one year of planning and pre-production.

My recent tweet is quite ordinary and nothing to get excited (or depressed) about. It was merely an extraneous agent for some personal thoughts. I am quite certain that the present discussion will be nourished by an official statement from Nintendo before too long and that we then can resume heartier discussions.

Ain't that rumor from Marcus Sellars? The guy is worse than the Leakyleaks one. I'd love a Dark Souls Remastered but I don't think it's happening right now.

No, the original rumor is not from him. The first I saw it was from some trustworthy insiders here on Era, then Marcus just reported it was coming at that Bamco event, which was obviously wrong.

He seems to just take existing rumors and report them with slightly different info as his own.

Ah. That gets me way more excited then!

For the Direct I hope Nintendo keeps the rapid fire format. Those short bursts of info are great.

Edit: haha, I wanted to take a look at the september '17 Direct and the search options on Youtube already has "Nintendo Direct January 2018" as a popular search option. People starving for a new Direct.
