It's not a "goal post" if I clearly delineate the parameters of the discussion, guy. If you don't agree with them, just say so and drop the discussion.

AAK was also letting his Tekken bias slip by counting Tekken as multiple games, but saying Daigo was only good at one game.
Posts a link only talking about Street Fighter and a Tekken released after he stopped competing professionally.

Except all that shows is Daigo is better at 1 specific game when I thought the discussion from the very beginning was about the best fighting game player... not Street Fighter player.

Ultrachen is talking about the subject right now.

And of course I knew his name would pop up somehow, GB's favorite player of all time, Tomo. We don't know for sure how he would do in this day and age but the fact is that he likes his fighters super simple means he wouldn't do so well.

I'm going with Sonic over Go1 just because he's the player displaying the most passion for the game right now. I don't think anyone else comes even close.

I think Go1 will win cause until proven otherwise I'm just gonna assume Japan is gonna run arcsys games. If I'm wrong I'm wrong or maybe Japan just doesn't care about this game like I though they would.

DBFZ's the wild west right now. No community has had time in the arcades with this game.

Personally, while most folks are thinking that SonicFox is going to run roughshod over Go1, I think it's going to be a slugfest. I don't think we're in for a SonicFox vs Perfect Legend scenario, not by a longshot.

I've watched play from both, and Go1 really doesn't impress me like SonixFox does. SonicFox has this ability to make it look like he's playing a different game from the rest of us. Go1 is clean and concise, but I track what he's doing just fine.

Maybe the level of their opponents play a factor?

Ugh, I'm fucking tempted to buy DOA: LR from the PSN store but I feel weird buying a blatantly dead game. Is the online active at all?

Time for some retro. Enjoy some bizarre unknown mediocre mecha fighting in honor of mediocre mecha fighting in the new Pacific Rim 2 trailer.
Fast Forward to 7:10 to see some wicked hand stand upside down robot action.
SCHMEISER ROBO

Dali=Dali for Pacific Rim 3.

That's a wild effect for you character select screen lol. I actually enjoyed the track on the hand stand robot stage.

Discord is a dynamic reddit: you can literally find a Discord for just about any and everything. I'm subbed to a mathematics, rap battle, philosophy, climate change, atheism, and even an MvCI discord, just to name a few.

Everything gets a Discord.

I feel Fighting Herds is nowhere using the full benefits of the Skullgirls engine and I am not sure if it ever will. They were better off with the previous engine

Didn't they take months just to make Fighter Maker be able to do wall bounces, not to mention all the weirdness with creating sprites through Flash and having trouble with the hitboxes thanks to the character's anatomy? Not to mention how badly documented in English it is. I dunno about "better off".

(And, could they even do lobbies or use GGPO with Fighter maker?)

They made progress, but I wonder if they would be better with a simpler engine, like most Western indie fighters. Tried that Dragon character and if you press 3 and C continuously you get an infinite. Hitboxes are weird too. Couldnt even do a jump attack against that deer character.

I literally booted up the game as I read this and tried doing an infinite with 3C and it doesn't work though?
Work on your spacing? You can enable hitboxes visualization in the training mode.

Probably something went wrong during game loading at that instance. The blaze circle motion did not launch the opponent up but would constantly hit without stopping. Not only that, even if you were at the other side of the screen, you teleported to the opponent! Probably a loading glitch

Fighting games have peaked. Don't think we can break any more barriers soon. It's going to take a lot.
Meanwhile PUBG and Fortnite continues to break records. Number one Fortnite player is the first streamer to pass 100k subs. That's 3 million a year in subs just for streaming.

The attendee list for Final Round is public now and I'm working on pools. Tekken turnout is up year-over-year (due to console release) and DBFZ turnout is strong, but literally all other returning games are down, which is kind of a bummer because I thought last year's event ran pretty well overall.

SF5, DBFZ, and Tekken all have entry numbers somewhere in the ballpark of 300, but then you drop off to 73 players for Marvel as the 4th place game. UMVC3's last year at FR had over 120.
