my left thumb was killing me when I was playing the few 13+ rating songs on 4B. I don't even want to know what my thumbs will feel like on 5B or 6B, let alone 8B.

I've got it. Fun thing to jam on. Jumping back and forth between the buttons and turntable can be pretty awkward, though. Turning it is kind of hard, too. Sometimes.
Do You Want It might be my favorite song in the DLC packs at the moment (Son of Sun is starting to grow on me as well), damn I wish it was next week, I just keep imagining the patterns.
I imagine we'll learn the pricing the day of release at this point.

Got $13.58 left on my PSN wallet, wonder how much I'll have to add to get all 3 of the major packs (still debating the GG one, it's not the ones I'm familiar with like what Superbeat Xonic got)

Very happy with this new DLC. Are we getting more Technika songs? (as this seems to be called Technika 1, or maybe I just imagined this in my sleep deprived state last night!)
Anyway, played a couple of tracks, managed to FC Son of Sun which was really fun. Also thanks to this mission pack I managed to hit 30 missions cleared which earned me one of the only trophies I'm short of in the main game (just need 50 missions cleared and the 10* trophies for the plat). Really need to get back into this game proper, as I barely touched the last DLC so I've still got tons of that left to do.

I'm so excited they actually are following through with the all DLC within a month of the games release. That's wild. I'm so ready.

Nice. How much did it cost you including shipping? I'm based in the US so an approximate price would be great so I know how much to save lol.
Yes, we're suppose to get DLC packs based on 2, 3, Tune, & Q sometime in the future, but Black Square is the one that's coming next.
Considering how many games we've got left (the other 4 Technika games, Portable 3, & Ray), I wonder how much longer they'll support this. Maybe the rest of the year? What's been the release pattern, one pack every other month or so?

Haha, yeah, that's my hope as well. Barely passed the 30 mission mark, should be able to easily hit 50 considering each DLC pack tends to have 12 missions, so I'm hoping I can clear about half of them from each pack. Plus I heard one of the DLC packs has a much easier mission against A.I.
Hopefully Portable 3 is second to last since it's the worst lol. If they do indeed do all the other games, I could see Q being the last. Where they catch us up on the stuff Q has and then we could get new songs along with them.
I think I spent like 600 because I added some additions to my particular configuration. But if you just opted for only the base, then it should be like 400 or something? That might include the DHL shipping which I think was like 120 bucks, IIRC.
Yeah. The first DLC pack has a manageable AI mission. I've done that one myself so I can confirm that its not too bad to clear!
Cool, I tried the one from set 9 & did fine on the first song, but then realized this was going to be super hard when I got to the 2nd song.
Honestly, I might just take a break until the DLC hits next week. I could really use some new music considering the grind to 300m, I've pretty much done all the missions I feel like I can do, & I've pretty much unlocked mostly everything. I do need the final note & gear, though (Glory Day gear, which is either 60 missions or 999 play count, &....I think Oblivion note? The one between NB Ranger & Ladymade Star)
It has been a pack every three months. Not sure what kind of schedule they're running on the collab packs - surprised they haven't dropped all of them already tbh.
Oh wow, longer than I thought (but then again, the packs add a ton of content each). So if we've got, what, 6 more packs that take 3 months each, the next one should drop in June, meaning 18ish more months of content, or a year & a half.
& that's not counting the smaller collaboration packs.
Curious because I have weak internet connection, is there any advantage to playing online? Is there exclusive stuff to unlock? Or is it just for fun?
Just some stuff you can unlock (see the achievements section in Collection), but I think most, if not all that stuff can be unlocked via song count. But otherwise, yeah, it's mainly just for fun & to see how you compare to other players.
There are some online-specific unlocks for playing 10-100 songs online (and a trophy for 10 songs played online), but beyond that it's the same old stuff. All of your level progression and scores carry over as if you were offline and there's no bonus for winning, so it's mostly for fun.
You also don't need to worry about lag, as there is no direct player interaction. You could probably play this online over a 28.8k modem.
I believe there's stuff to unlock. But for musics, playcount will unlock pretty much everything.
You don't need strong internet for online by the way.

Mainly, they "fixed" some patterns for some songs included in Technika & re-rated some charts as well, like Fever GJ 6B MX dropped from 11 to 9, but Brain Storm 4B HD was increased from 9 to 11.

OMG, it took me like 11 restarts to full combo Memory of Beach on 8B NM with an A. & it's only rated 8.

I swear, my brain doesn't want to adapt to what SHOULD be easy button combinations & patterns, but I guess having to deal with 4 fingers instead of just two is what's screwing me up.

I have the same issue as well. Usually with songs on 6B feeling easier than 5B songs regardless of the rated difficulty. Heck, even some 6B songs feeling easier than their 4B counterparts. But I think that's just down to separating notes out between 6 buttons versus only having 4 buttons. I can't do 8B though, my brain isn't coordinated enough to manage that!
Man, I HATE when there's an analog stick note right next to the Square or right/square button since I'm using Tapsonic notes & it's blue, which is almost the same color as the analog notes, meaning I sometimes don't realize I need to hold Square down while holding the analog stick.

I think I'm approaching my first wall to progress in 4B, starting to run out of songs to complete that I haven't failed already at least twice. Had some breakthroughs in 5B and 6B and can now at least comfortable hit the notes and am clearing the easier songs comfortably. Currently level 37. Really have a ton of fun with the game still, which is awesome.
After hours of plugging away at mission mode I finally managed to rack up 50, netting the platinum trophy. Feels good, I really had to work for it.

Confused by some of the Technika trophies...
- I've cleared the First Step mission but didn't get the trophy for it. Is the description wrong? It's unlocked by doing something else?
- Which song has the hidden BGA?
- Which song has the "hidden pattern"?

From what I'm hearing, certain missions actually have TWO songs, but how you're performing can result which song you trigger for the final stage of the mission.
What was the final song that you played for that mission? I'm reading that getting a max combo in all 3 stages results in one song while the other is either not getting a full combo or your max combo being 100 gets you the other song.

No idea what song it was, it was like the first thing I did when I downloaded the DLC 2 days ago. I imagine I max combo'd it as it's a pretty easy mission so I'll try screwing up in it too

Just to confirm this works perfectly. Got the trophy myself today after clearing the mission doing both full combo on all songs, and missing a note on one song. The final song you get is indeed different.
Similar question for me, only for this trophy "Happy 10th Birthday for TECHNIKA". The spreadsheet says mentions a hidden technical pattern, but I'm not clear on what exactly I need to do? Is it clearing all the hidden technical tracks? Or something else?
Anyway, made some great progress, almost S ranked all the Trilogy DLC (only one bastard hard song remaining!) and clawed my way up to 35 missions cleared. Doubtful I'll be able to clear many more from here on out though.
What do you have to do with the mission? I played it earlier and made a bunch of deliberate mistakes in each song and I still got I want You as the final track.

I full combo'ed the first two songs, then messed up one note on the third song and got one song (I forget which it was now). Then full combo'ed all 3 songs and got an entirely different song as the finale.
This is some shitl. I tried one break in the third song, and one break each song, still I want You EVERY FUCKING TIME. I the Googled and saw this Reddit post about it being linked to the combo counter. Haven't been able to check it out because it turns out I'm not great at making deliberate mistakes - DJ Max finishes on a double note and about 8 times in a row I made the exact same mistake and finished on an even note (missing both notes in quick succession where I tried to break instead of just the one).

For 4, 5, & 6 buttons, yup. But for 8, you'll need to use L1 & R1, so your index fingers are included for that mode.
I've never had any issues aside from playing super hard charts where my left thumb starts hurting, but it helps that this is a series that started on PSP, so it was designed for the PS line of controllers in mind.
I'm having my own issues with this. I need to see Electronics, Blythe and Sin and they just don't wanna show up.
However I did finally see Thor tonight so that's something I guess (though it kicked my arse)
Well, guess my chances of getting the last trophy in the trilogy pack is out the window, Ventilator is being a tough SOB to max combo, let alone get an S rank on! On the brighter side I managed to clear a few more missions today and cleared a few more 10* tracks max combo so I might see the plat one day. DLC songs seem slightly kinda in terms of 10* note charts though, I feel most of the ones I got have been from DLC, I find the base songs really tough to max combo over 7-8*.
If that list on Reddit is right then Electronics and Blythe both show on an even combo - missing the last note of the third track to zero your combo might do the trick.
I swear I tried this before and it never worked...but it did this time. Also saw Sin with basically the same approached, max combo'd up until the last note of Y. So now I just need to beat Thor for the final trophy... D:
For 4B i use the shoulder buttons, I don't have a setup for the other buttons. 5B is actually 6B since it wants you to hit 2 seperate keys at the same time for it, otherwise my '5th' button would be X.
So in the off-chance that I can't get all 3 DLC packs on Friday (hoping I can afford it after applying the 20% off discount code I have), should Technika be the first one I get? I only know the songs from Fever & Portable 3 (never got around to playing Technika Tune), so I know almost none of the songs save for NB Girls, Dark Envy, I Want You, & Son of Sun (after looking it up on Youtube when I learned it was by the guy whose alias is Sampling Master MEGA).
