Is that a movie sequel for Piano no Mori? I really love the manga.
Just watched the first episode and gat damn they're comically massive lmao. Like I understand big boobs are cool and all but these are big enough to be fully realized characters.

Visually the ending is only okay but man that song is so good.
yeah same cast. the two main students they haven't confirmed are voiced by people that have worked with funi in the last year. Koname's friend is a regular for funi and the other mostly works at sentai but was voicing Frost for them in super recently.

God these episodes ruled. The kangaroo reaching protein enlightenment had me in stitches.
The dub is so good. Fenneko is totally best girl but Retsuko is adorable as well.
Uncensored swearing, damn this episode really pissed you off huh lol
Just had a peek....yooooo lol. This guys dedication to planet sized breasts is honestly inspiring. He knows everything there is to know about them. I don't even know myself that well.
The "torso for business use" post made me laugh more than it should have.

So.. What's the good stuff this season? I haven't been watching any anime since the new season started.

While I'm basically enjoying this series, there are a number of issues that are holding it back from being 'great':
- I didn't care for the music used during the right. A boxing match is an action sequence and action sequences need music to do lots of heavy lifting in terms of creating excitement. This is especially true in TV, where you're unlikely to see the kind of detailed, fluid animation required to convey the act of boxing. Music sets the mood, it establishes the rhythm, it creates crescendos, it communicates information about characters and so forth. The music in this fight was background noise, I would have preferred it to set the pace of the fight.
- I still don't understand why the kid is involved in this story. I don't understand his motivation for getting involved. I know that we're obviously going to get it later, but it wont retroactively make the earlier episodes better. That's not to say I have an issue with this character, quite the opposite. He played a crucial role in this episode and he plays off Joe and Coach quite nicely.
- Speaking of character motivations, I feel like this is a broader problem across the board. I understand that right now, Joe and Coach are motivated to get into Megalonia to stay alive, but I don't know why Joe actually cares about it. Why does Joe even care about boxing in the first place? Why was he riding his motorbike over cliffs earlier? Why was he so offended by Yuri's boxing? I don't really 'get' any of it.
- Joe only being able to participate by taking literally no hits stretches credulity. He must be some kind of superhuman dodging machine. To add insult to injury, the show doesn't even bother to show us those fights, it just assumes we can accept this premise without issue.

I was looking up a scene from The Rose of Versailles I came across on twitter, I stumbled on this wonderful AMV which I have no idea how much it represents the show but it has pretty much convinced me to watch it.

I think it's a pretty cool idea to have Joe fight gearless. The first fight managed to have the right amount of tension. Still, I'm not sure how he'll pull it out. The opponents probably hit like a truck, and he can't even defend against those hits, only dodge.

Megalo Box is really the only thing I'd recommend to others because the rest of what I'm watching are mostly sequels.
The picture that fell on the ground in the last episode seemed to imply the coach was his father and I don't remember it clearly but I think he got annoyed when the coach looked at the picture or picked it up and didn't react. So maybe he wants to get close to the father who abandoned him. I don't know. Otherwise, the idea that he's been inspired by Joe seems good enough for me considering Joe is set out to show people from nowhere aren't worthless.

I disliked large parts of the next arc in the manga but here's hoping they improve those and with 24 episodes we'll also get to the following, excellent arc(s). Isayama apparently mentioned how he wants to correct issues with the respective manga chapters for the anime adaptation. Now, given what I said before that does make me happy, I just hope it really is for the better this time, as the anime changes at the end of S1 were awful and his idea, too.

How was Season 2 of the anime? I've been meaning to watch it but over the past few months I've lost interest in the series as a whole thanks to the most recent manga arc.
I just realised that in Gundam Build Divers the 1:1 scale Unicorn Gundam has a beam magnum and a shield that the real one in Odaiba doesn't have.

It's mostly considered superior to S1. As you've read the manga I can tell you that they absolutely nailed the big reveal and following fight.
