#2. Does anyone else's cooling fans have a slight whine to it it's not loud but it's audible and goes up and down I'm going to try and replace it if I can I think.

Grabbed a cheapish pair of Xbox headphones that came with a code for the Dolby Atmos software. Even though its software faked Atmos sound, this is some audio voodoo for a pair of $50 headphones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MSBFFFK/?tag=era0f0-20

Great choice. I was in thread last night while at Best Buy shooting questions and the 800X ver of these came up a lot. I couldn't justify the $100 to go full wireless but needless to say, they work and sound great!

I don't know if this is a bug with my Xbox or Assassin Creed Origins but when I boot it up, all the colors are washed, including the guide menu if brought up.

I have to go to home and then hit the app to go back into the game to fix
This happens with Netflix for me, even on the S. Just gotta toggle the HDR mode by going home or restarting the app/game.

I am shocked with how good Madden looks on this thing. And I didn't think I would ever be pleased with Madden visuals. Console is also fairly quiet. I am impressed with what I have seen thus far

Unfortunately, Forza isn't clicking with me. Idk why. I played the hell out of the last two in the series. Looks nice, tho.

I played some Ryse, which I got via GwG but never tried. It runs great, which I hear it didn't originally. I wonder if the ultra cluttered map on AC Unity would still choke or not.

I also tried out RotTR and enhanced mode is pretty great but 60fps is hard to pass up. Though with both this and Halo they are basically delivering perfect visuals. I don't see any flaws, but just "what they are meant to be" and it's freaking nuts!

I ordered Gears 4 and FFXV for $20 each so those should keep me a long time. If I had a lot of free time on my hands I'd probably get TEW2 as well, but that's just too many new games at once.

Anyone experience a ghosting issue when circling around Lara in Rise of the Tomb Raider? I'm running it with enriched visuals.

AC: Unity wouldn't see that much improvement as it's largely CPU bound [all that crowd AI].

I wonder how I'll find the free time for games, lol. Even being ridiculously selective as I am, I could do TEW2 later but that is also when Monster Hunter comes out and the Forza 3 (don't have) patch, then Crackdown and Sea of Thieves soon after. That's a lot of game to me.

Should I allow YCC 4:2:2? I don't have it selected and everything has looked great what exactly is it for and if it's not selected what formatting is it using 4:4:4?
I believe 4K HDR doesn't do 4:4:4, it'll only do 4:2:0 or 4:2:2. So enabling 4:2:2 will allow a higher setting when using HDR, otherwise it'll use 4:2:0 in HDR.

Man, the Gears of War 3 enhanced patch is insane. A 360 game looking this good? I hope more games get this treatment.

Does anyone's Xbox one x power cable feel a little loose when plugged in? Every time I touch it I feel like it's just gonna fall out. I've made sure that it's plugged in all the way, but it still bothers me...

Alrighty, I managed to get an X and I am updating now.
I also got the LG UHD 4K Monitor. It is model # 27UD69P. Does anyone know how I should configure the settings? Little lost.

I have the same monitor and love it. Here's where you can get the PDF manual to read up on everything about the monitor. http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-27UD69P-W

I read it a few weeks but and from what I remember it never spoke about having to set the HDMI inputs to 4K/60 so I'm guessing both ports are automatic for that. As for Freesync - keep it on the Extended, that should be for games that are moving frame rates at 40-60 Hz,which is what the XBox does anyways. The basic setting I'm not sure whats thats used for? Lower Hz games maybe,or films that display at lower Hz,maybe this setting would smooth them out? Not sure. One thing that I found out is that if Freesync and Ultra HD Deep Color both on,they don't like one another,in that if you turn one on,the other will be grayed out in settings. Turn one off,the other will then work.

The manual says its used to "provide sharper images when connected into a device supporting Ultra HD Deep Color,so I really don't know if the X does that or not. It also goes onto say that for resolutions of 3840X2160 that 60 Hz is listed here,so it looks like it will makes games smoother with this setting turned on. Can't hurt to keep it on then. This feature sounds like it'll enhance or assist your games frame rates, like a Freesync type assistance will kick in if youre playing games at full 4K resolution then. One other thing under the "picture adjust" setting try to keep the "Super Resolutions+" setting to high. That will keep full 4K games looking extra crisp for video games. The other settings(Middle and Low) are for optimizing images between low and high modes, effective for UCC and standard playing videos, guessing games as well? Not sure. The Low mode smooths out slow moving and still images on screen. Guessing that maybe something like a puzzle game or oldie PC type strategy game would be a good example for something to use in this mode. I'm loving this monitor allot though. The brightness, contrast, and color settings are unreal, just good. Perfect for me as I wanna wait a few years while they settle all the HDR stuff in tv sets and I can grab one with allot of bells and whistles at a price I can live with. This monitor, while it doesn't have HDR is truly sweet. Glad I purchased it.

It you have a 3D capable 4K TV Gears 3 in 3D looks perfect. Last time I tried playing a console game in 3D it was an aliased nightmare, but Gears 3 on the X is clean as fuck in 3D! I don't see any jaggies. Too bad 3D strains my eyes or I'd play like this.

Played Doom for a bit today. Looks and run so much better than on a standard Xbox. I still hope it gets an X patch but it's really good as is.

Quantum Break though... that's the biggest standout for me so far. I found it hardly playable before but patched on the X? Now it's something to showcase. It's incredible.

But if I select it will it do 4:2:2 for non HDR games also when I wouldn't want it to?

Edit: also quantum break is such a night and day difference.

So far gears 4, halo 5 and quantum break have impressed the hell out of me.

Are you sure you have it plugged in firmly? I was fooled into thinking there was a problem with the input till I was brave enough to just give it a firm push and that changed everything. Its sits plugged in as it should. Give it another try maybe?

I've tried plugging it in with a little bit of force, and it seems to be staying in the socket. However, I am able to wiggle it a bit left and right and up and down. Is this fine?

I believe it has been....due to the marketing deal it probably won't be announced but the game is defiantly a noticeable improvement on the base bone version and it runs a lot better in spots compared to my pro play through....going to have to wait for the head to heads

No mine stays firmly in. Do you have an XBox-S? Maybe that cord will fit better? Though I don't have any idea if thats the proper voltage cord for the X. Hope its not serious, sorry to hear of your troubles.

I have the 500HXs and they sound great in the Atmos demo. Does this enhance games by default or does the game have to support Atmos? Played a few rounds of Siege and couldn't notice a difference (though I think the headset sounds great on its own).

Also the code for Atmos says it can only be used on one device, do I have to buy it again when I get my X? Redeemed on an S.

I use ARC to get around it, Feed the HDMI from my Xbox into my TV, and then my TV sends the sound back to the receiver via HDMI.

Yeah, I assumed this would be the case which is a shame as you have an AV receiver partly to do with it being neat a tidy and a simple set up. It's good to know this works! Thanks!

The V777 is such a good unit so I have no reason to upgrade...
