I need some help ERA! My GF bought me a xbox live 12 month code for my bday, but it looks like she bought a Spanish region code by accident. When I went to redeem the code it was legit and everything, but I got an error code saying contact the seller to get a code that works in your region. Im curious If I change my region, can I redeem the code somehow or am I SOL? thanks peeps

Did screenshots in the Community tab always have such a poor quality? Weird artifacts everywhere. I had to check the downloaded screenshots on my phone and everything was okay there. Then I took a look at them via "Recent Captures" on the Xbox and they look absolutely fine there too.

Should be able to change your region to redeem. On the xbox or Windows 10 go to language and region settings.
Once changed, open up the xbox app or marketplace and redeem. After you should be able to switch back.
Yea I did that, and it keeps saying I need to change my region even though I set it to the right one :(
Not really related to the X per say but my brother has just got a Xbox console (not X) and i understand that im able to share my digital games and xbox live pass with him, am i right in saying that i need to log into his console with my details and then set his console as the Home Console??.
In doing this do i lose any functions over my account on my own console or overal control of my games or console itself??

Yeah, that also happened to me yesterday. But for some reason the problem fixed all of a sudden.
My understanding is that the internal HDD is optimized for delivering 4K content (according to a reviewer who had a preview copy a week prior to release, though I forget who it was). I've been trying to find detailed specs, but it's true that the enhanced 4k games I've played so far stuttered a bit from External HDD, but perform better from internal. Also, loading times for me for non-enhanced games and enhanced games are loading significantly faster from the Internal HDD than from the external HDD.

Use a proxy / VPN, make sure you have a Spanish IP address and then go to Xbox.com and redeem the code.
I was able to redeem a cross-region "gifted" game using this technique.
Yeah not worth it at all for the Xbox One X.
Only for the Xbox One S the difference is noticeable.

This is great, I had a 500GB SSD for the One S which now the One X has. I've tested a few games and now the difference in loading is minimal. Now I can use that 850 EVO for something else :)
Glad I´m not the only one. But I didn`t notice any difference in the loading times.

Yeah, I have. I've just lost my external hard drive with it's >3TB of installed game, so I've been redownloading things to my internal drive (12 is apparently max occupancy for the games I want to play. Gotta find where I squirred away those other externals I wasn't using...). My download speeds seem to be dependant on the game I'm downloading, er... that's what I was assuming at least. I was bouncing between 130ish Mb/s all the way down to the 20s at times.
My connection is fluctuating between 220mbps and about 50. It's usually more stable, but I assume that because of the X being released that there is a little less bandwidth to go around
While re-downloading Tomb Raider last night, I generally hovered around 100 but it dipped between 30-180.
Is your instant on mode working? If it is it should boot right up to home, with almost no delay. If it is not then you will see the green boot screen. I think my Xbox One X is turning itself off completely while in Instant On mode. Maybe yours is doing the same thing?
Had that issue on my S ... think it was caused by the beta OS I was running as part of the Insider program

Not sure I entirely agree with some of their presets though.
Warm over 40? That seems overkill.
Color Gamut on Normal instead of Wide? They claim it's a more "natural" color, but for me it feels washed out. I think I prefer Wide much more.
And I rarely see any commentary of Super Resolution. From near as I can tell, the games that wouldn't benefit from it don't look better or worse with it turned on, while the ones that do show a noticeable difference seem to have improved backgrounds with it set to at least Medium.
The ISF setting for movies also continues to confuse me. It seems you use ISF Bright or Dark depending on the lighting of your space. They mention offices and dark rooms, but what am I supposed to do with a small room that's somewhere in the middle, brightness-wise?
Lastly, they don't mention any settings for movies/shows that feature HDR, as some Netflix shows do. Not sure what my settings should be in that instance.

Well I would be inclined to agree, except, my One X doesn't have the beta OS build. Only my S does. With the power issue with One X's randomly shutting off, I am worried that mine might have the same issue, but just dying while it is sleeping.
It plays UHD discs at native 4k but maybe you meant those it scale 1080p discs to 4k? I should know but I don't - although your TVwill do that anyway. There may be a benefit to having the Xbox One X do the scaling but I haven't tested that personally.
What happens if you put it to sleep and then power it right back up again? Can you recreate this way?
65. Have been patient and saving for a few years now and just moved into a new house, so went big :)
It does upscale regular DVDs and Blu Rays, just as the Xbox One S did.
Well I am at work right now, but I will check when I get home. I do know that sleep mode had been working though, since I was playing Mass Effect the other day and it when right back to the game from instant on.
I'd set it to 8bit or 10 bit, ultimately it doesn't make any real difference as the dashboard is only made for 8bit color anyway.
I've got a feeling that the built in calibration images on the Xbox only work properly in 8bit.
