Time for bed, but good hanging and discussing with YeEra. Gonna avoid the thread like the plague for the next day or two lol. And good OT FZZ, thought it was gonna be a hate fest but you were as unbiased as possible.

Should have started with first and foremost

Took a second listen. It's kind of a bland pop-rap album on the whole, but I feel that way about most of Ye's albums. If anything, I feel like Daytona is a much better case for Kanye still "having it" as a producer. I don't think anything on Ye touches "The Games We Play" or "If You Know You Know".

Then again, I'm just not a pop-rap guy. I like rap (College Dropout), I like pop (808s and Heartbreak), but the two mixed together just sounds watered down to me.

Premeditated Murder: meh, boring as fuck.
Menacing/Extasy: sounds like any other (sub-par) rap song from the last decade.
Wouldn't Leak: right in time for E3! Kanye needs to find his flow, that shit is bad.
Butterfly/Energy: Not bad, at least it's the first song from this album where I don't think that something's missing.
Make no mistake: That's more like it already. Not quite top tier, but a great listen nonetheless.
Some Day: Aw damn, the beginning was great, and then it goes downhill starting at the 2min mark.
Cry Tonight: Meh.

That was bad, holy shit.

Yea.. I'd rank this as his worst album. Way too many meh tracks for such a short album. The last two tracks are the only ones i'd consider great.

This album is a disappointment.. but at least the Cudi track is good. That gives me hope for the collaboration album.

Luckily for everyone on the sidelines worrying if they can support Ye, it's his worst album by far.

Thank you Kanye, but you're done creatively
