Narcissism is a hell of a drug, apparently.
I think ZattMurdock is trying to imply that Chobot is the person who helped sabotage Chloe's career, and because she retweeted an account that has been pro-GG before (even if..well, the account is 100% right on the specific topic that the tweets are about), that was supposed to be some kind of proof that Chobot was the person who helped Hardwick.
No, this suddenly got really confusing.Wait, Ashley Esqueda is a pro-GG account, or just the MomBot account Ashley linked. This is really hard to follow. Maybe I'm just dumb.
I was dating a man who was not a nice man, but happened to be well-known in a certain niche industry- I met a woman during that relationship, on a job. She knew who I was dating. After I had to have "surprise surgery", she was the only one who came to the hospital, and dropped off a present for me. I fell in love- she became my sister. I got her repped at my agency, I was offered my dream job and took a huge paycut to get her hired on as well, and got her booked on two other jobs as well.
When I realized I was in an abusive relationship, I told her I was thinking of leaving. She told me "I love you, but think of your career"- Since he was well-known, in her eyes this meant he was helping me. He wasn't. I was baffled. The day I found the nerve to finally dump him, she screamed at me for ten minutes, saying "how am I supposed to work with him now?" She took my friends out to dinner and told them really weird, untrue stuff, made it her mission to wreck me. She somehow got me fired off of the jobs I got her hired on by telling them I was unstable. She even went to my agency (I was there for over 10 years) and tried to get them to drop me. I lost a lot of friends, and was generally blacklisted in our industry. Luckily, my friends eventually came back and apologized, but at that point the damage had kind of been done. That woman single-handedly ruined my life. Best part? She's still friends with my ex, and is now besties with his new wife, as well of the wives of several other well-known folks in our industry. I also found out she'd done it to 5 other women. I'm still in therapy for that dumb relationship and friendship break-up, and it was years ago.
Wait, Ashley Esqueda is a pro-GG account, or just the MomBot account Ashley linked to clarify the situation of the flute player? This is really hard to follow. Maybe I'm just dumb.

Not just before. That account is still on their bullshit. I was on the receiving end of it just this week.I think ZattMurdock is trying to imply that Chobot is the person who helped sabotage Chloe's career, and because she retweeted an account that has been pro-GG before (even if..well, the account is 100% right on the specific topic that the tweets are about), that was supposed to be some kind of proof that Chobot was the person who helped Hardwick.

Not really damage control, but siding with Hardwick when she should be supporting Chloe, like literally all "Nerd twitter" is doing. I think it's understandable because we are talking about people she knows personally, but I'd argue that complete silence would be better than this. I truly want to be wrong about this and hence why I wasn't clear enough on my initial reaction.
That is a crazy jump to make and not something we should be doing.
Let's stick to the facts: Chloe made a claim about Hardwick. We're now waiting on his response and the response from AMC. There is no need for Reddit-esque Internet detective nonsense.
Not just before. That account is still on their bullshit. I was on the receiving end of it just this week.
Mombot
I have always had an irrational hatred for this guy. Turns out I'm just insightful.
Exactly. Leave the internet for the internet, folks.
Everyone: This is not the time or the place to jump to wild conclusions or paint people who weren't directly involved in this abuse as being supportive of it. Wait for Nerdist's statement.
No, that's not what I meant. I don't think Chobot is the person that helped Hardwick sabotage Chloe's career that she described on her post. My point is that Chobot retweeted something about "not jumping to conclusions" right after this thing blew up and also liked a tweet from Hardwick's wife about not believing things said on social media - a tweet from months ago and not related to Chloe's situation. I was one of the few here bringing it up that it's fucked up that some are attacking Hardwick's wife over this, since she's potentially as much of a victim as Chloe, but I just wish that I saw equal support to Chloe from her.I think ZattMurdock is trying to imply that Chobot is the person who helped sabotage Chloe's career, and because she retweeted an account that has been pro-GG before (even if..well, the account is 100% right on the specific topic that the tweets are about), that was supposed to be some kind of proof that Chobot was the person who helped Hardwick.
I will drop it, I just think I need to explain what I actually meant and I take the blame because I did a poor job explaining what I meant:

now lets create a little controversy...free kick wasnt a foul, second goal butterfingers degea who likes to talk but cant do much else...bring it.
I think you are in the wrong thread right now.now lets create a little controversy...free kick wasnt a foul, second goal butterfingers degea who likes to talk but cant do much else...bring it.
God I hope so.There is a good chance you have posted this in a very different thread than you meant to.
oh fuck....yesssss...so sorry. There is a good chance you have posted this in a very different thread than you meant to.
You need to pull back here.
You're seeking out additional drama. Focus on the situation at hand, don't try to find vague tweets that may or may not mean something and then post them here, especially when you clearly didn't even look into the tweet itself before posting it.
Yo, Zatt has a history of this. I remember a music thread with similar gossip.
I was following Jessica and Nerdist and opened my twitter. I did a search because I was weirded out by how Jessica reacted compared with others and linked this to the part of her post where she says that someone she considered a friend helped Hardwick on blacklisting her. My point is that it seems that Chloe has been trying to fix this thing for a while now. It seems to be more than the emotional and sexual abuse, but the very fact that Hardwick also screwed her over professionally.
Dude....its not even about the thread topic...she's reacting to the tweet she quoted who is in turn reacting to the Andy Dick lookalike playing the traditional Japanese flute at the Sony E3 event...this has NOTHING to do with the thread and its confusing people!
Did you bother reading the article? That bit about "starfishing" is plainly sexual assault. So I guess Chris Hardwick has an unhealthy 1950's view on how a relationship with a man and woman should go. Nothing here indicates sexual abuse though, but psychological abuse and the emotional toll that takes on someone.
She should have dumped him when she saw signs that he was controlling.
Why would you chime in without reading? And victim blame? So I guess Chris Hardwick has an unhealthy 1950's view on how a relationship with a man and woman should go. Nothing here indicates sexual abuse though, but psychological abuse and the emotional toll that takes on someone.

…Including let him sexually assault me. Regularly. I was expected to be ready for him when he came home from work.
How did this happen? At the beginning of our relationship, I was quite ill often due to my diet, something I'll get to in a bit. One night he initiated, and I said, "I'm so sorry, can we not tonight? I'm feeling really sick." He responded, "I just want to remind you, the reason my last relationship didn't work out was because of the lack of sex." It was a veiled threat. I succumbed.
Every night, I laid there for him, occasionally in tears. He called it "starfishing". He thought the whole idea was funny. To be fair, I did go along with it out of fear of losing him. I'm still recovering from being sexually used (not in a super fun way) for three years.
I don't know who the woman who betrayed her (who Chloe thought of as a sister) was but I hope karma catches up with them aswell.
Not to derail but good lord you were insane in that thread."Similar gossip"? You mean the fucking Jesse Lacey thread? Are you shitting me?
- As he was sober, I was not to drink alcohol. Before we began dating he said, "I noticed you have a glass of wine with dinner. That's going to stop."
- I was not to speak in public places (elevators, cars with drivers, restaurants where tables were too close) as he believed that people recognized him and were listening to our conversations. Our dinners out were usually silent, him on his phone.
Who ever liked this fucking guy anyway? He literally is just internet comments personified. I highly doubt he even carries opinions of his own yet he gets opportunity after opportunity. It's still shocking that he's this much of a scum fuck. Like he treated her less than human. That's a grown ass man. Like how??
She's the daughter of John Dykstra, the Oscar winning VFX supervisor of Spider-Man 2.All kinds of fucked up. Is Chloe Dykstra related at all to the old philles baseball player
I'm just glad women are finally speaking about scumbags like Hardwick and many more. I hope he's fired from wherever he's working on.
She's the daughter of John Dykstra, the Oscar winning VFX supervisor of Spider-Man 2.
Wow, surprising to learn that he is so divested from Nerdist. The statement itself should come as no surprise though. Lot of good people over there.
