Why do they need to be justified and to who?How does that justify those ridiculously out of place high heels?

For an alleged warrior woman, walking around in what seems to be armored high heels? I'd say they are ridiculously impractical.
Why does practicality matter? For an alleged warrior woman, walking around in what seems to be armored high heels? I'd say they are ridiculously impractical.

Good, Elma is on the first page. She's a dual gun dual sword wielding badass who doesn't take anyone's shit. I love when Goetia is having a villain monologue and Elma just shoots her like "shut up."
Did I stutter?"Poorly drawn"? You really up in here trying to hate on Vanillaware's art?
read the history section, and i always picture horse riding boots with a raised heel. exaggerated and impractical sure, but shes just that extravagantFor an alleged warrior woman, walking around in what seems to be armored high heels? I'd say they are ridiculously impractical.
The same place that took 24 posts to mention Samus. Fuck yeah though THE BOSS! What a fucking bad ass!Disappointed in Era that The Boss (MGS3) wasn't mentioned anywhere on first page.
How has this thread gone this long without Chun-Li?
Strongest Woman in the World. An interpol officer willing to take on shadowy secret organizations to save the world or ever just one girl.

Put her in fucking Smash, Sakurai.
A badly proportioned, super sexualized design deserves all the criticism.BOO at people body shaming dragons crown amazon in this thread, you don't deserve a strong gf
I love how the OP says to not just post images and then there is the rest of the thread
I really dislike Vanillaware's art, personally. All I see is paper dolls when in motion, definitely not my favorite 2D style."Poorly drawn"? You really up in here trying to hate on Vanillaware's art?
It at least does the same ridiculous proportions with the male charactersA badly proportioned, super sexualized design deserves all the criticism.

Not liking the designs =/= badly drawn.A badly proportioned, super sexualized design deserves all the criticism.
yes, it's great.I refuse to believe anybody likes that Dragon Crown design. It hurts my view of humanity too much.
The proportions and bodies of all the characters in Dragon's Crown border on parody. I'm not sure how it's a point of contention whether they are sexualized or disproportionate. There's a bit of an uncomfortable pattern though, that people accuse thicker women of being "more sexualised" and "obscenely disproportionate" while overlooking women with unrealistic proportions and poses designed for male gaze as long as they're conventionally demure and on the slimmer/shorter side.
You can be "good" at drawing but still be "bad" at designing and other aspects.
but in DC case it's intentional. you may not like it and that's ok, but then it's "i don't like it" instead of "it's bad"You can be "good" at drawing but still be "bad" at designing and other aspects.
Exhibit A:
Not even the same thing. You can be "good" at drawing but still be "bad" at designing and other aspects.

People defending it as not being absurdist however is beyond the pale of what might be considered reasonable. Whether it's a defense of the style or an argument.but in DC case it's intentional. you may not like it and that's ok, but then it's "i don't like it" instead of "it's bad"
cuz kamitani can draw
This is just silly.People defending it as not being absurdist however is beyond the pale of what might be considered reasonable. Whether it's a defense of the style or an argument.
dunno why, i love it and i admit it's absurd. the paladin is a body builder who skipped leg day all his life and the dwarf is a rock with muscles on top of other musclesPeople defending it as not being absurdist however is beyond the pale of what might be considered reasonable. Whether it's a defense of the style or an argument.
As long as you're willing to admit that it's basically not representative of a human's body, and that it's blatantly sexualized and objectifying, well, you do you I guess.dunno why, i love it and i admit it's absurd. the paladin is a body builder who skipped leg day all his life and the dwarf is a rock with muscles on top of other muscles
I agree, while I dislike the pandering in the walking animation, I love the absurdity of the design. It's absolutely ridiculous.dunno why, i love it and i admit it's absurd. the paladin is a body builder who skipped leg day all his life and the dwarf is a rock with muscles on top of other muscles
