FUCK YOU STUPID CUNT SHUT THE FUCK UP
🙄

The middle was annihilated and has nearly 20% of the seats that the Scottish Nationalist Party got. Furthermore, how do you look at the victory of a far right party and come away with the conclusion that they won by being more centrist? Same for Trump in the US, who is a far-right admirer of fascism.

They didn't win by being centrist but by conquering the middle. Huge difference.

Funny that you fallback on hilary because her campaign was just as poor as the one corbyn had.

You don't win elections with funny memes on twitter or calling the other side racists.

You're right! You do it by inspiring people with clearly spoken policies that will materially improve people's lives, and facilitate collective action in order to challenge the inherently corrupt and malfunctioning political system the US has.
Unfortunately, nobody besides Sanders is doing that. Bummer.

No you win elections by *checks paper* being racist.
There is your problem then. If the left wing parties can't convince them to vote for them (Which evidence suggest seems very unlikely) leftists parties will have to decide whether they want to change or continue to lose elections.

Those people won't vote for you because you call them out.

Totally. You win it with well thought out arguments and integrity like Donald Trump and Boris Johnson

I agree, the left should just become more racist to get the racist vote.

Ah yes so you can't answer with any arguments so you compare people to racists.

Exhibit A why the left won't convince the center to vote for them.
Why should we pander to the racism of white people, regardless of their class?
I mean we want to win elections right?
Calling them racists clearly isn't working so change has to come from the inside

Democrats lost against the worst candidate ever because the best argument they had was "I'm not Trump". Joe Biden will be Hillary 2.0

The Left has won 3 Elections this year in Spain, why isn't he using that example? And by the way, the 2 left-parties that'll form the coalition here just pacted a raise of the minimum wage from 900 (previously 7xx, raised last year by those parties too) to 1200€.

That's HOW YOU WIN elections to the far right, being useful for the MANY, not by being the lesser evil.

By forcing a second election, losing seats and then going with the coalition partner everyone expected you partner with anyways?

So you call Johnson and Trump racist. And the left failed to get the center to not vote for them, the two racists. But the real reason the center voted for the racists is because they were called racists by the left.

Yep, just like the last election Mr. Biden! Joe Biden has the common sense bipartisan solutions that we need and will work with Republicans to bring about the Golden Age.

Lol at this oblique reference to the "deplorables" comment when the actual problem is that she weakly backed down from it rather than doubling down like Trump et al would if they were talking about leftists.

Yeah, that far left liberal socialist Hillary was just too much.

Dems will eat up this right wing talking point.
I mean Bernie was too much considering he lost.

And some of you Dems won't realize that the party might not be ready for a "political revolution". With every signal showing it (like Hilary's nomination).

We weren't in 2016, and we might not be 2020.

I wish it weren't true, but that's reality. The majority of black people have been telling you that for a while with their votes.

The Lib Dems were the only other non-regional party to effectively increase their vote share, despite FPTP and bad strategy wiping out their seat gains. It's just that there isn't much there -- except the margin of victory in many ridings.

Well, they sure are lining up behind Pete to show us all how much they like libdem meritocratic policies.

Ah yes, let's mimic the advise of our adversaries. They're surely offering it in good faith, because they enjoy the sport of a competitive race.

Racists will continue to vote for racists. Nothing new about that.

It's just a shame that there's so many of them, even as we head into 2020.

"Look what happens when you promise good things without compromising to bad people by also promising bad things!" These old rightwing assholes need to fuck off and stop pissing up the world for everyone who isn't rich.

Not comparable, the UK election was an anomaly because of Brexit, Jeremy did pretty good in 2017 when Brexit was still on the table.

Really dumb move by PSOE, but the point is that left policies do win elections.

The PP collapsing entirely under Rajoy helped immensely and Vox is now a thing (yuck). Biden extrapolating from the British result is folly but so is using Spain as an example. Left got wiped everywhere else in Europe this year (and last tbh)

These centrists seem to spend so much time demanding concessions from the left while they let the right drag the narrative (and the centre) further right.

USERA we have 11 months to emotionally and financially prepare for Trump's re-election. I highly suggest a lot of us take advantage of it. "Something stupid/bad/evil happening can't/won't happen again" historically is a bad omen

Right. Which is why we need to vote for Sanders to have the best chance at beating Trump

He probably thinks this is reason enough to not give a shit about the youth vote too. Not like he's been trying anyway, given his constant criticisms of the left and kissing up to Republicans.

I mean on one hand going too left will be absolutely disastrous for the 2020 elections, America ain't ready for even a moderate leftist let alone everything Sanders wants. On the OTHER hand going public with this viewpoint is absolutely idiotic and the DNC cannibalising itself during election year is a guaranteed way to get Trump back in office despite the impeachment, or someone as radically far right or worse. Do this shit in private for fucks sake and develop an official party line instead of this petty bullshit.

I'm not even sure why I'm surprised.

Fuck Joe Biden, seriously. I'm so sick of being a goddamn political hostage. The idea of pulling the level for this guy is super upsetting.
