Unfortunately it's rarely as simple as waving a reform wand with good intentions and expecting results. California, a state that leads the nation in prison reforms and programs, has one of the most segregated, gang run and violent systems in the country. It's not just the guards that you need to really worry about, who will make your life hell but are hopelessly outnumbered by the inmates who maintain order through violence. When isolated shot callers and lifers in Pelican Bay had their torturous conditions exposed and were reassigned, many just resumed their previous work, resulting in more dead inmates and CO's. What do they care, they're in for life anyway. It's a complex problem for an environment that does not function like the outside world.
That's not to say mass reform, less incarceration, shorter sentancing, improved conditions and more rehabilitation programs aren't sorely needed, particularly in conservative run states where they go out of their way to fuck over inmates. And we're not even talking about the wild conditions of some of Russia's toughest prisons, or Mexico where officers have no power and gays are forced to live on rooftops. But your average MAGA terrorist isn't thinking about any of that, and are likely still in denial about what they're experiencing. They'll all learn one way or another.

Taking away the fact that these people are insurrectionists who tried to obstruct a democratic process, it's kind of gross that people in this thread are gleefully cheering on officers abusing people. I understand not feeling sorry for white supremacists, but we cannot ignore the fact that abuse in prison is a real thing and should not be taken lightly.
A sad story we see repeated endlessly by atheist professors, Christmas-hating Starbucks baristas, and radically homosexual Lil Nas X fans across the nation.
It was worth a try, but the fact is, our people's plight will never be taken seriously in Biden's America. It's yet another example of the toxic double standard we face in our battle to save the last vestiges of white culture.

This is where I'm at, fuck these people for what they did but the treatment prisoners get is awful and we need reform ASAP.
These guys are idiots and well deserving of their jail time but I don't think anyone should be getting their asses kicked by jail guards so bad that they are going blind. We need to hold these fuckers accountable and i really am having trouble feeling bad for these guys getting roughed up but we should do better and not beat the shit out of our inmates.
100 dollars said they got told to clean up either by a celly or a guard, or to get in line, or they spat our their food or some stupid "I shouldn't beeeeeeeeee here!" kind of shit and got rocked around for it when they tried to fight back or push back against guards "escorting" them to back to their cell.

I'm actually interested to see if this does anything for the rioters. I don't think guards should abuse power but few of them died during the attack.

I would kind of love it a lot if a black guard dropped "we hate all white people and your honky religion" because they knew everyone the insurrectionist talked to would think it was made-up bullshit.

I've been to jail before.. #1 rule is don't fuck with the guards. And if you do get a ass beating. Not much is going to happen to them. Cause they know where the camera's are
