Adios. They should get Yvette Nicole Brown to host Talking Dead now.
I love YNB every time I see her, especially on TD though. You can tell she's genuinely a fan of the show, and she's a really positive person. I can't think of a better replacement than her.Adios. They should get Yvette Nicole Brown to host Talking Dead now.
Oh no, his show cancelled? Shocker.
They were all filmed ahead of time so crew got paid.
"Will not air currently" is code. It's dead.
C-List is the right term for him. He's a talk show guy but he doesn't really perform in anything and if you don't pay attention to the nerd-culture stuff he hosts you probably have no idea who he is. His star doesn't stretch very far.
He's sort of like the nerdy ryan seacrest. He somehow gets all these hosting gigs but no one knows what they actually do. Like what talents they have to get this kind of attention from everyone.
If that snippet from his book is faked, that's a fucked up thing to do. There's absolutely no need to muddy the waters like that.
Can confirm. Just got the ebook of The Nerdist Way and did a search for some of those keywords in the tweet (like revved, DeLorean, etc).
That passage seems completely falsified. (I'm about 99% sure, unless my app is somehow not finding the text, which I doubt)
Fucking people, just stop it. What Hardwick did is enough to condemn him without having to muddy the waters with this stuff.
It seems pretty much confirmed that the excerpt is fake. Since I was the one bringing it up on the thread, I just want to apologize and say that I only did post because there was several RTs on that tweet and other tweets posting variations of that same one.
With that said, there's a shitload of evidence against Hardwick rolling around that DO come from legitimate sources, ex coworkers testimonials included. Glad to see the fast AMC response to this. And this is a great take:
I'd be down for that. Chloe starting a game podcast could be cool too. She's great.Chloe can host. She has done a couple of cosplay shows on Nerdist and I think one on Syfy.

Right. But hopefully you've learned that "it had several RTs" does not make it valid information. That is part of the problem with Twitter and social media in general and is exactly what leads to "fake news."
You're really big on embedding tweets you find (not just here but in other threads as well), which is fine, but you gotta look into them more first.
Hence why I said she should be going for a gaming host job. I don't think anyone is advocating for Chloe to get "Hardwick's job", it's about she actually getting a job fairly, with no blacklisting shit happening.I don't think Chloe wants to literally take Hardwick's jobs, guys. She isn't going to want to host anything he has hosted.
You are definitely correct. I am a male, and had a relationship like that as well. She usually told me to kill myself or called me an ape multiple times (she's white and I'm black). She also took my phone from me to check my messages and delete some numbers of my female friends. I was always feeling guilty, until it was over because I told her that I liked another girl. She then blocked me, unblocked me, blocked me again, etc.Just going to add on, as I know they people have, that this can come from women towards men as well. It's not as common, obviously, but one of my ex girlfriends did a lot of stuff to physically stop me from seeing friends and generally having a life outside of her and then would be like "Why don't you hang out with your friends more??" It's really easy to start rationalizing this behavior, especially if you're financially tied to the person (ie you live together and can't afford the place on your own if you break up). Walking away, even in this kind of relationship, can be hard to do.
Didn't mean to try and one-up or anything, just sharing an additional experience.
Middle aged white guy nerd characters aren't that hard to come by, dime a dozen. Replaceable.
I'm only asking for proof because she herself said she has audio and video evidence. It's reasonable to request that before condemning someone. Some one please explain to me why everyone thinks he's guilty with only her word? I mean, he's been known for a very long time by a lot of people who never went on his shows as a good guy, people who had no ties to his source of income. Saying "I didn't like him so I know I'm right now!" is a stupid reason so please refrain from such an excuse. I honestly haven't seen a single thing about him being capable of something like this from anyone in the past 25 years since he's been in the entertainment industry. Just because there are details or a disturbing edge to the accusations don't mean any of it's true. It's happened many times before and this could be a case of it happening again. I don't understand this new wave of every guy is guilty just "because".
I want to see the proof since it supposedly exists.

Saying that you have audio and video evidence does not prove that the evidence existsThere were others on Twitter that backed her account. Not to mention his denial was pretty narrow to only include sexual assault without touching on the other issues.
Finally, and most importantly what reason would she have to lie while claiming to have audio/video evidence? If she were scorned and lying wouldn't she have been more blatant about who it was rather than keeping things vague.
If he's innocent, he should be demanding to see the proof she claims to have. The easiest way to clear his name would be to prove her a liar, and so far at least he hasn't been too vocal about wanting to see the proof. Some one please explain to me why everyone thinks he's guilty with only her word? Just because other people think she's telling the truth meansshe's telling the truth now? And so what he specifically denied the sexual abuse. That's the most damning (to most people) accusations. How does that suddenly make him guilty as well? People have accused many other while saying they have proof and been lying completely. They do it so they can settle it out of court. There were others on Twitter that backed her account. I don't want anyone to cast dispersions, but is it known for a fact who the woman was that helped blacklist her?

Oh so he should do all of this in the open, in social media, for no reason, without any thinking about any legal recourse he may have, without talking to a lawyer, so people on the internet who have already made up their mind are placated? Gotcha.

He covered all the bases, actually: denied only the "sexual assault", not really being clear about anything else and that's MOST of what Chloe said on her post, to anyone paying attention. Also, by saying this, he's covering any audio evidence she might have of them arguing: "Our three year relationship was not perfect—we were ultimately not a good match and argued—even shouted at each other—but I loved her, and did my best to uplift and support her as a partner and companion in any way and at no time did I sexually assault her".
What is more disheartening to see people here on Era and social media demanding "proof" from Chloe is this:
And literally all he did was to deny to sexually assault her. Everything else about how abusive their relationship was... nada. He goes as far as admit to "shout" at her. He is full of shit and I can't believe some can't see it yet. Why is so ridiculously hard to some to believe women?
Yes, if he's sure she's lying, that's exactly what he should do. The quicker he saves his reputation, the better. Forcing her hand doesn't stop him from then suing her later, but it could stop him from losing even more gigs.Just because other people think she's telling the truth meansshe's telling the truth now? You should read more people's abuse stories if any of this seems like a stretch to you.
