Just saw this on CNN.

On their site they have a small statement on the front page:
  • JUST IN: The Saudis are preparing a report that will acknowledge the death of Jamal Khashoggi — the Saudi journalist who went missing two weeks ago — was the result of an interrogation that went wrong, two sources say.
  • What this could mean: Khashoggi's disappearance created a diplomatic rift between Saudi and the West, with the UK, France and Germany demanding a "credible investigation" into the events and President Trump warning of serious retribution if the Saudis are found to be behind his possible death.

Even if he was "accidentally" murdered during interrogation, do they think that's better than being straight up murdered?

Horrendous.

I don't know what result they expect to get from trying to bullshit their way out of it. You murdered him, just own up to that shit. With the amount of stuff they get away with I'm surprised they even bother spinning it.

Now I'm no expert, but in interrogations you're supposed to be asking question not chopping the person up and trying to hide the body.

Have no faith that the world is going to sanction these lunatics tho, maybe that's why they're going to admit to it, who's going to held them accountable? They sit at the head of the UN Human's rights council while conducting the worst genocide in the past decades on Yemen and no one bats an eye.

"and then he fell into the vat that we had prepared to take him back to SA! And someone had mistakenly filled it with acid!"

"Somebody killed him but we don't know who and nobody can truly say. The death is real, the killing is false!"

we accidently cut him up and dissolved his body.

---------------
this should kill any arms deal we currently have with saudi, and frankly any western nation that does business with them.

they could literally do this to anyone

They accidentally used a bonesaw to accidentally chop up the body of a man they accidentally killed.

Seems airtight.

Clearly none of you guys ever accidentally hacked someone, repeatedly, over and over, until they're were just tiny pieces.

There's not a whole lot that can go "wrong" in an interrogation when they intended to abduct him in the first place. Like just fucking why

Well, it's a small step up from "Journalist shot himself in the head then dismembered himself before anyone could stop him" I guess.

if America and the world at large lets this fly, the precedent this would set is fucking terrifying. Granted no one really gives a fuck. Saudi Arabia are murdering children in Yemen and Israel is practicing Apartheid, and we don't care and we likely never will.

They must have transported Khashogg in the same van that killed Freddie Gray.

He slipped and fell on this bone saw we had lying around to intimidate him. Our forensic specialist who was there to make sure this wouldn't happen was outside for a smoke.

So they're saying they took him to their consulate, "accidentally" killed him while torturing him, and chopped him up into pieces. And they just happened to have a forensics expert flown in prior.

... that's not any better than what they're accused of.

MBS isn't responsible, just his military forces unilaterally decided to fly out to Turkey, meet him at a consolate, interrogate him, accidentally killed him, they somehow packed a bonesaw, chopped him to bits then according to other reports threw him in an acid bath to dissolve him while his fiance waited outside the consulate till midnight for his return.

Also please disregard our earlier spin that he wasn't dead for a week or so.

Why are they interrogating journalists anyway?!
If you were to believe some reporting he was a spook! He supported the Muslim Brotherhood possibly. He met with OBL a couple times. He had the dirt on many Saudi Royals through his years working for the Intel Chief Turki Bin Faisal who now wants to be crown prince. I read a bunch of stuff of why MBS would want him dead. I mean who knows its crazy in those inner circles. His granddad use to be the physician to the king. His uncle Adnan was the biggest arms dealer in Saudi for a while.

Grain of salt and all since it came from Germanys Die Welt.
