Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold, launching November 19th

i had put one in for the september release and changed it to november. i won't be off work the thursday/friday but it's not a big deal. i got the full week off after that :)
Going gold doesn't mean work has finished, only that there is an acceptable build with finished content ready to be printed on discs/uploaded to the store servers. There is still day 1 patch.
last game i was really excited for was GTA V in 2013. i don't mean just excited but...HYPED.
cyberpunk is easily my most hyped game but i haven't let myself get as bad as i was for GTA V. i was too obsessed with it pre release to the point i spoiled a lot of it. i'm trying to avoid as much cyberpunk info as i can.
My RTX 3080 is ready and waiting.

They are never gonna show that. Unless people get hands on on release day.
Every publisher will show the best version or wich marketing deal they have.
it means they are being sent out to be put onto discs and uploaded to digital stores.

Same, I think it's CDPR's shitty messaging over the last year or two that has turned me off. That said, RPGs will never not be my favorite genre of video games and I don't think "voting with your wallet" is a thing that works in the real world, so I'll probably get excited closer to the release and end up buying this day one after all.
I just hope it works. Something tells me this game will have 1000 Plus Bugs and perfomance issues at launch.

Couldn't help thinking that many employees at CD Projekt RED are probably well overdue for one, and who knows if they'll be granted.

Goddamn why the weeklong PS5 delay in germany? Now I have to make a badonkers Roadtrip on PS5 release day to get this game from my next gamestop (already paid off with gift cards) which is about 50km one trip.
Even at the start of the year I was like "I'm ready for CP2077 on my Xbox One X. I'm not waiting for the next gen consoles" and now I'll start playing it on an Xbox Series X.

I just finished the entirety of The Witcher 3 and now I understand the hype behind Cyberpunk. Bring it on!
Cyberpunk was revealed before The Witcher 3! Like, everyone knew the game was coming but it was only fully unveiled in a Game Informer cover in March/2013. Cyberpunk teaser was released in January of that game year and the title itself had been revealed a few months prior, in October/2012.
I bet with a friend that it would not release in 2020 anymore. Luckily we didn't bet about something big. I just have to pay for one meal.
