There's no way the inevitable adaptation can be turned into a 2-3 hour feature film and cover all of this investigation. This'll take an HBO series to cover it all.

All the Times the Mueller Report Was Coming 'Soon'
  • The Washington Post's Robert Costa said on MSNBC last April that the Mueller team wanted to release multiple reports, including one in the summer of 2018, which allegedly had "different conclusions about the president's conduct, his behavior while in office." It's unclear whether a report of this kind was submitted last summer, but either way it was not made public.
  • While the paper didn't make predictions about whether the probe would conclude, the Post reported in June that Mueller was " pushing to write up his findings by summer's end."
  • In July, Bloomberg News reported that Mueller had "an eye toward producing conclusions — and possible indictments — related to collusion by fall."
  • Politico didn't give a specific date, but said in October 2018 that Mueller's team appeared "eager to wrap it up."
  • Bloomberg News reported that the special counsel's office was "expected to issue findings on core aspects of his Russia probe soon after the November midterm elections," but said they may not be made public.
  • In November, ABC News said Mueller was writing his final report, but that there was "no clear timeline for when Mueller will wrap his investigation."
  • Vanity Fair went further, saying in November that the White House was bracing for the conclusion of the report possibly the second week of the month.
  • The AP reported in November that the White House was bracing for the report to be dropped "soon."
  • A legal expert on Fox & Friends in November said Trump would "wrap things up" by the end of the year. Another expert told the CBC in November that Mueller "may finally be ready to reveal what he's learned in Russia probe" because he was afraid of being fired.
  • In December 2018, NBC News said sources told them the Mueller report could be submitted to the attorney general "as early as mid-February."
  • The Hill said in December that an expert told them the probe was "wrapping up."
  • The Washington Post in December had another expert saying he expected the probe to conclude in the first three months of this year.
  • In December, Yahoo reported that investigators said they were "tying up loose ends," and that the investigation "may be coming to its climax, potentially in the next few weeks."
  • In February, NBC News, the Washington Post, CNN, and others reported that Mueller was preparing to submit his report to Barr as early as next week. But within two days, the same outlets had reversed course, saying Mueller had no plans to submit the report next week.

TBH I'm kind of hoping it drops when he's out of office so he'll have no way to protect himself with presidential powers.

They just interviewed the SECOND person from Cambridge Analytica.
No, the press just reported that a second person from CA was interviewed by the special counsel. The actual interview took place last summer.
She said she received the subpoena shortly after a June 2018 report and her lawyer told CNN that "the Mueller subpoena was issued long ago, and Brittany has already discharged her obligations. Whatever interest there was in Brittany seems past."

When will y'all realize Mueller wasn't hired to take down trump? He doesn't have the same goals and priorities most of us do. He's looking into Russian interference. He doesn't give a fuck whether or not trump goes down. He's yet another millionaire who sleeps in a mansion every night and isn't affected in the least by the damage trump is doing to the country. He has no personal stake in this besides his legacy.

Every time they say it's coming and then it doesn't, I get this snippet stuck in my head.

I think this is a callous take without any proof other than he is a millionaire so he doesn't give a fuck about anything other than his name. He's gonna go where facts lead, and that's what all his former colleagues say. He's not a shitty partisan hatchet job like Ken Start going on a fishing expedition of Trump's personal life. If there is no direct evidence of anything, his report will lay it out. If there is, he will recommend indictment.

But when it is delivered, we'll never know what it says anyway. Doesn't Trump have the power to simply bury it?

Kinda ot bump...

But im hearing whittaker is out, on my timeline. Is this true??
Yes. He was briefly a senior counselor in the DOJ. He's now out.

Del Quentin Wilber @DelWilber

Some DOJ News: Matthew Whitaker, former acting attorney general, has left the department. His last day was Saturday. He has not yet solidified plans on his next steps, according to Justice Department officials.

Whitaker was Sessions' chief-of-staff and took over as Acting AG when Trump successfully demanded Sessions' resignation after Nov. elections. Whitaker served as Acting AG until William Barr was sworn in mid-Feb.

Whitaker then switched roles & served as senior counselor in the associate attorney general's office. AAG is vacant. Rachel Brand abruptly quit the job last year. The White House has struggled to find someone to take that post. It is expected to announced a nom in coming weeks

Yes, he was originally going to stay on with a consolation job at the DOJ, but he's quit/been canned. Barr either said fuck this moron or Whittaker doesn't want anymore to do with the DOJ because he'll be under congressional scrutiny especially since they have already asked him to explain himself for not being completely truthful/omitting information during his testimony. He can't just make this all go away either he's going to have to answer to congress even as a regular joe.
