There are no streaming options in the US and no physical release since the platinum dvds that currently cost a fortune.
It's never legally streamed anywhere and has been out of print for a long time

If this is a remaster that might be worth it over the DVD's.
The only good thing about this Netflix deal is that maybe the english dub could finally get something that isn't a complete rewrite of the original script.
The only ways I've found are through piracy or buying £200+ out of print DVDs.

The show was remastered in 2015 for the Japanese Blu Ray edition released for the 20th anniversary of the show.

The only way you can watch it in the US is to pirate it (nah) or pay $800 to a scalper for the boxed set. It's not "easy to watch". It's like King of the Hill before it hit streaming.

That's what I'm thinking. I've seen the series and movies countless times over the years, skipping right to EOE so that I can finally experience it in HD.
Was this ever confirmed? I remember Spike tweeting about hearing of a new dub a couple months ago, but that seems like too quick a turnaround for one to be dropped tonight.
The big deal is that the series is not easily accessible at all. It's not been on a legit streaming service ever and the physical copies are insanely expensive and hard to get. This on top of the fact that it's probably one of the most well known anime series ever made.
I can't easily be watched and its also very hard to get hold of, if not impossible, at a reasonable price & is also one of the most influential anime of all time. More options is dope.

I'm hoping that Netflix features the English dub for Evangelion; whether it will be the old or the new. Because if Netflix does not feature a dubbed version, then I'd be disappointed but I'm still gonna watch Evangelion on Netflix. No matter what you listen, you gotta understand the story and the characters.
