I think they pulled out the beta for the 3a until June, right?
Oh.
Well it releases in Aug so not too far off anyways.

Because the 3a xl is so light I'd say it's surprisingly a pretty good one handed device, fwtw.
You can easily hold the 3a XL with one hand. I'm coming off of a Nexus 5 and the size hasn't been an issue at all.

Really loving this phone. I didn't realize how slow my old phone was until using something this fast.
I have this case for my Nexus 6P haha such a great phone and case!Welcome to the family.
I really like the case I got for my pixel 3a, feels way better than the Spigen case I had for my original pixel XL.
I do recommend it to anyone looking for a case.
Nice carbon case
Correct.I think they pulled out the beta for the 3a until June, right?
It's half the price? Why are you guys choosing 3A over 3 when latter seems so much better?
I got $250 off trading in my old locked iPhone Se. No brained decision for me.Why are you guys choosing 3A over 3 when latter seems so much better?
Headphone Jack. Why are you guys choosing 3A over 3 when latter seems so much better?

$250 discount for an iPhone SE + $100 Gift Card. Why are you guys choosing 3A over 3 when latter seems so much better?
Well if you want a serious answer, the original Pixel 3 is massively overpriced here, near iPhone and S10 levels, by comparison the 3a is only slightly over priced but still in a reasonable range, it's under half the price of a 3 and I got a free Chromebook with it. And yeah, headphones jack is important to me.
I like to upgrade my phones every 2 to 3 years usually and to me, each leap needs to be huge. I guess if someone gets a new one every year 3A can hold.
You've had the original Pixel for a few years and have had no issues with performance? I'm legit jealous, I got the first Pixel, and the thing slowed to a crawl within six months. That was the main reason I ditched itAre you saying it's only good for a year? I've had a pixel for a few years and no issues w/ performance.
I would say this phone should have no issues unless you're into heavy gaming.
Well, if you're planning to keep it for a while, it's better to just future proof
It's also better to have $400.Well, if you're planning to keep it for a while, it's better to just future proof.
I can appreciate that deal.
That's not enough imo. Tech is always first.

It's not about rustled jimmies, you just asked a question with a very obvious answer and seemed surprised by it.Hopefully no jimmies were rustled - ''twas just curious. Overall, I don't think Pixel beats Samsung or iPhone quite yet from what I've read or watched.
The deals are hot though; I'll say that.

It's not "a little more" though when it's over double the price and has the same drawbacks as this model.I've just always been a fan of "pay a little more and get the best model in the lineup." The deals do make the 3A more appealing.
I concur. I have a Pixel 3 right now (bought it at $575 last fall), but if I were buying today I would definitely get one of the "a" models. The headphone jack is a nice bonus, on top of the primary driver, saving some cash. It's not "a little more" though when it's over double the price and has the same drawbacks as this model.
is that the google trade in? Or some is someone else also doing a trade in with $100 gc promo?
Damn, my Pixel 2 is worth $199 to them, surprised they'll take an SE for $250.

That was the Google trade-in. Most stores are offering a $100 GC, but Google was also offering a $250 discount for an iPhone SE. I bought a used iPhone SE on eBay for $69 for the trade-in.is that the google trade in? Or some is someone else also doing a trade in with $100 gc promo?
ah nice, yeah i may be able to get my aunt's iphone 6 16gb for free to do a trade in. Have it in cart but haven't pulled the trigger because I don't have the phone yet. With the $100 GC I will buy a Google Home Hub (with a free Google Mini).

It's smooth. Barely any more grip than the phone itself, if there is any. If you run your nails across it you can tell there is a texture, barely. It's thin like the cardboard of a folder. I got it with the 100 credit and still might return it. If I had paid actual money for it it would already have been returned. $10 case at best. The fiber Google-made cases for these seem a little overpriced ($50). Anyone have it? How is it?

'what, you like saving hundreds of dollars in cash money? really?'It's not about rustled jimmies, you just asked a question with a very obvious answer and seemed surprised by it.
Maybe you can return it?So all deals are dead then? Damn, I was really looking forward to this phone. Any thoughts on what I should do with this original pixel?
The full dark mode will be completen un Q. Gotta wait until August. Right now is kinda in beta.I figured out what happens when you change your phone settings to Dark mode, you lose the option of customizing each individual to a color assignment which sucks. I tried reverting back to light mode for the option and even restarted my phone and it seems you lose it permanently unless you reboot your phone entirely. Google really needs to fix that or add color customizing to dark mode.
So I had the trade already in my cart and it seems like google is honoring the $258 trade for the iPhone 6, no mention of the gift card anymore thoughThe deal expired yesterday.
I started the trade-in without the iPhone. The iPhone I ordered from eBay arrives tomorrow... You have one month to send it. They will refund the money to the credit card.

Looks like it's because they opened this trade in to pixel 3 and xl

People are trying to frame this as historical Pixel jank (which it may be) but we should probably wait for more than like two reddit posts with 10 upvotes before calling it that (as opposed to any phone having some number of defective units)Supposedly some Pixel 3a's are randomly shutting down?

I haven't had any issues with mine. Does anyone here have this issue?
