Did you think differently? This is more than likely the GoTY man.

Embargo went up as soon as you posted this lol. It's in OP.

They weren't 'full fledged horror games' even if they had horror elements (or full levels in HL2).Surprised? HL1 was horror and HL2 was pretty much going to be horror until they changed it during development.
Here's the USG review. I don't think I'll ever play it in VR because of the poison headcrabs (shudder), but damn it sounds pretty cool https://www.usgamer.net/articles/half-life-alyx-review-forget-about-freeman
Along with Nioh 2 and Ori and the WIll of the Wisps, it's been an exceptional March.Animal Crossing

That sucks. Mine is unpacking now. Shit seems like it's taking years.I know, but it makes my wait for an Index restock even harder.
How dare you. AstroBot was VR's first killer app. I look forward to your apology press conference. This will be VR's first killer app. This will be the Valve quality we all remember and love.
Looking forward to playing this one day.

Well would you look at that. Valve can still make games after all.
It might get 99 - 9 scores though.I'm starting to think it won't be getting a 99+ on metacritic.
Meeting expectations for a new HL game 13 years after the previous one is quite a feat.
PCGamer said:I played the final three hours of Half-Life: Alyx in a single session. Before Alyx, I never used VR for more than 30 minutes at a time. I don't get motion sick but I do get generally tired of VR. Tired of having a hunk of plastic strapped to my face, of having to stand and stoop and reach awkwardly around, of not being able to check my phone or have a sip of coffee. But I didn't take a break, or even want to, during the final chapters of Half-Life: Alyx. I wasn't tired. I was completely enthralled and unwilling to stop playing.
When I played through the ending (no spoilers here, but trust me, you'll want to keep your VR headset on through the credits), I reloaded my last autosave and played through the ending a second time. And then I went back to the beginning of the game and started playing again.
