Heavy disagree with some placements on this list and the lack of games like Driveclub, Outrun 2, F-Zero GX, or others, but there's still some good choices on there. I recommend going into the list and reading their reasonings for some games which would seen like an odd inclusion.

Seen that yesterday, really disliking the list as well.
I obviously understand the "one game per franchise" criteria, but this is just a poor list all around.

We've curated it with a maximum of one game per franchise in mind to ease up on repetition, so keep that in mind if some popular series below seem limited to a single heavy-hitter.

Now here's a bunch of old-ass games!

Racing is one of the few genres that is always improving, and to just throw up a list of games that people are nostalgic for is insane.

Haven't played Burnout 3, but I was looking for Burnout Paradise in that list first and foremost. Driveclub should definitely be in there too

PGR2 is literally nowhere in the top 25 and invalidates much of this list for me.

Also... No Enduro (Atari) ???? What about Sega Rally??? Top Gear???

"25 best" lists are always a bunch of yahoo, but Driveclub not even in the top 25 is malarkey.

Where's Forza Horizon 4 or Burnout Paradise? I get it that they only wanted to include 1 per franchise, but that cuts out a lot of games.

This list is not great, pretty much lacks all my favourite racers lol.

Any Wipeout over the Omega Collection is very questionable considering the sheer amount of content, online and all that. Going back to play any of the older games is pretty rough tbh. Though I guess that's true for quite a lot of racers considering the nature of the genre.

No Driveclub, Motorstorm Pacific Rift or F-Zero GX hurts. CTR is probably the best kart racer of all time.

Ridge Racer over literally any other entry in the series is just pedantic.

But the #1 spot is 100% spot on.
