But that imbecile also wants out.
I just don't understand this. NEITHER party wants to say "maybe we made a mistake guys, lets pretend this never happened."
But the referendum took place on June 23, 2016.From 1.15 to 1.15, not bad. Here's Canada over the same period:
Looking at the currency isn't very meaningful.
As far as I know brexit was more about immigration from Europe (Eastern Europe) so old school white on white racism.
The end of this is rather apt, when he thinks he finishes and turns over the page to see more questions.
Brexit in a sketch show
Pretty hopeful this will bring about the collapse of the government.
Yup, that's pretty much what I'm expecting too.If the story so far has taught me anything this is how it's going to go:
- The Tories will stall past the September deadline
- Airlines will start planning for a UK-less March 2019
- The public will sit up and take notice
- The government will rush through a legal framework
- The airlines will tell them "tough shit the schedule is finished
- The public will bitch and moan about how the airlines still have months to change and they're being delibeately unfair
- Some poor planners are going to have to pull massive amounts of overtime to fix it
I mean it's likely not wrong but did anyone actually watch it? This guy is a paid up Trump mouthpiece who's a friend of his with no actual experience other than throwing money at Trump. He shows himself to be a buffoon repeatedly.
Id personally not take his word for anything just as I wouldn't Trumps. Brexit will no doubt be shit but this guys is literally just a rich clown so why should I trust his word?
No offense, but did you? Woody wasn't at the briefing in the video in the OP. The ones who gave it were career diplomats. Their identities are expressly mentioned. Woody gave extremely pro-Brexit comments in the episode.
JOHNSON: Y'know, growth is starting to slow down but what we're probably going to see is a longer-term slower slide of lower economic growth. Inflation went up from 0.5% to 3%, so it's quite a significant increase and that's not inflation from a growing bubbly economy, that's inflation from an outside shock, so that's the worst kind of inflation. That's going to be a problem. This is coming at the end of a long period of austerity. People are very, very tired of it. They're very frustrated by it. And some of those longer-term economic issues are some of the things that fuelled Brexit. So if Brexit ends up not helping them, or not obviously helping people economically, that could have political knock-on effects.
Absolutely this, there's no doubt a ton of people who voted Brexit for racist reasons but the Tories austerity has had a huge impact on people too. This whole mess at the moment was created by the Tories; they offered the vote and they also created a situation of no hope with a large amount of people who were stupid enough to be manipulated into voting for "change".
In an economy which was working for everyone the vote wouldn't have even been close. Labour aren't innocent of failing the people who voted for them either.
I mean it's kind of implied I watched it. I'm assuming most watched that 2 minute clip not the 45 minutes it was cut from. This Woody guy made multiple ridiculous statements including how the UK should copy much of what Trump does. Its hard to take someone like that seriously There's a lot better sources for info than this idiot.
Also he's serving the interests of the US not the UK so of course hes pro Brexit? I don't get how that's even a positive let alone how it effects him being a trump stooge and by effect a pretty untrustworthy source.
If you think this leads to Socialism I have a bridge to sell you. People double down on their racism.
Why does it need to lead to socialism. For a lot of us, it is enough to lead away from *here*.
Indeed, your post history is evidence enough that you are fine with far right populism.
I don't follow. Woody isn't the source of this information. He's not even in the video in the OP. And him being pro-Brexit isn't a positive, but a confirmation that he is "a rich clown with no actual experience other than throwing money at Trump".
You'll find absolutely nothing in my post history to support anything to do with the far right .
I would say you can do better than automatically equating voting leave with the far right, but I won't, because you clearly are incapable.
Im entirely ignorant of the way your guys government works. Is there literally nothing you all can do?
Not just on this site, you have complained about identity politics and social justice. Also no, there are no sane reasons to vote Leave unless you are concerned over tax haven status. This is firmly established, so is the fact that Brexit is absolutely to do with racism, that is not even a question. Just because you have a batshit mental position divorced from reality just makes you a unicorn, an irrelevant statistic.
He is, he admitted to being so

but mods don't seem to care.
No, I said I was being provocative.
As in, trying to provoke people to think about this differently.

derp.
How were you provoking people, you ask? And why was it so important that people knew you were doing so beforehand so as to moderate their responses? It certainly wasn't by making points or crafting arguments, as you explicitly refused to do so.
As I said before, obvious troll is obvious.
Are you for real?[/rhetorical question ( I know the answer, thank you Jackpot)Well it's only inflammatory because you guys disagree. Leave voters are in the majority. It's a commonly held view. A majority view, never forget.
Back on topic, what's wrong with a vote rejecting the status quo, that doesn't work for a lot of people? Judging people on their mainstream political views doesn't seem very liberal or understanding to me .
Except the EU isn't a deceptively small vicious animal. It is a visibly monstrous 800 pound gorilla that the UK thinks it the equal of.
The fact so many little englanders genuinely think they have nothing to lose really does highlight the cancerous privilege, apathy and ignorance plaguing this country.Bob Dylan put it well when he sang
"When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose."
You'd maybe like to see a full forensic analysis of what Leave might look like before voting for it, including a counterfactual account of what post 1970s UK would have been like outside the EU. That ain't happening.
I voted remain and I'm not particularly optimistic about the future.
Saying that - I'm not 100% sure why this briefing is significantly credible in its outlook?
Unable to buy plane tickets? No chance.
The budget airline's chief marketing officer, Kenny Jacobs, told the BBC: "Everyone is saying it'll be all right on the night once we get closer to April 2019. I don't think you can take that for granted."
Unless a transition deal is signed, from September 2018 the airline will include the warning on its tickets: "This flight is subject to the regulatory environment allowing the flight to take place."
At least you yourself pinpointed exactly one of the greatest logical fallacies that produced Brexit:Bob Dylan put it well when he sang

It can't get any worse, so any change will be positive.
That is without a doubt one of the dumbest things to seriously believe, period. And I do include stuff like 'Flat-Earth Theory' in here. I mean, look at genuinely poor countries on earth right now. Look at how rich today's UK is compared to basically any other point in history.
To go in and claim: You know what, this is all complete garbage, let's overthrow the majority of our economy because of some meanies in Brussels, and it will be a better outcome in any scenario regardless how unprepared or ill-conceived it all is. Darwin-Award level behaviour on a national level, absolutely pathetic.
