Think I might give this a go on my iPad but not sure I can gamble on the phone yet, don't want to risk any CarPlay issues as I rely on it a lot.
Be careful with Catalina; they've changed a lot and 32 bit apps & subsystems will no longer run at all. This is going to be a rocky update for a lot of users...rocky, but necessary.
If you're feeling sad about that, I wouldn't recommend opening Steam :-/
I wouldn't worry too much about Steam, It is usually fixed pretty quickly after a few betas.
They can't fix a huge amount of the games being broken thoughI wouldn't worry too much about Steam, It is usually fixed pretty quickly after a few betas.
I came to ask this and what it broke on TVOS. I'd rather keep my home peaceful. So the tv beta is out? Does this mean Steamlink will now work with DualShock?
Installing iPadOS beta now because that's the most exciting one. Not going to risk my phone this time around and going to wait for the Catalina betas to be more stable.
This. Need my phone to be reliable plus iOS 13 didn't seem that interesting?
Lemme know if "file system" is actually a file system. Can't believe I'm finally getting storage tho. Crazy.
I believe the apps themselves have to also be updated to allow it....
whoa really.... This is amazing news. I might install the AppleTV beta tonight then if there are no major issues reported.
Good lord, that sounds beautiful.I just plugged in a USB3 HDD into my iPad Pro 10.5 and copied over a ton of video files for playback in VLC. Worked a treat.
Yeah you just delete the beta profile, reboot, and it'll put you on the stable release path. Will it be trivial to opt-out of beta updates and switch to the final release when that is out?
Literally the only thing I know I'd miss from moving from Android back to iPhones (I know this is about the iPad) is Apple doing a classy widget system. On iPad and iPhone. They can do the side app multi tasking thing with aplomb and picture in picture really nice too, add in widgets that third party apps can support and get it running on the phone's too. iPhone would be perfect then.Argh home screen is only in landscape mode. I rare;y use my iPad in landscape mode but wanted that
Oh so that's what my spare iPad Mini 4 is for.. I'll try this out tonight. Wonder if it will help me get my 4K60 footage from my Osmo Pocket straight onto LumaFusion with the Files app improvement. That would be a massive help.

Can you roll it back if there are issues

Weird, battery life is fine for me on X with Dev 2 and I haven't noticed anything wrong with mail.Reminders, email, and battery life are fucked in the beta so far on my XS Max.
Running Dev 2.
Does it let you play video files from the HDD or do you need to copy first

Safari has some great usability improvements. And I didn't know Apple was adding a swipe option to the stock keyboard. That was a nice surprise.
