Hmmm... If this is true, then one has to wonder whether a Switch version could happen, too. Square-Enix also stated that "no IP is ruled out" for the Switch.

my 980 Ti got a solid 60fps maxed out at 1440p, it aint that bad.
Honestly I didn't feel the graphics were all that good in the original release, so it would probably be fine.

They should remaster Gestalt and give it away for free for people who buy Automata on Xbox One, and sell it on PS4 and PC.

Not really. Higher than 60fps doesn't work so good with the FAR mod. I wish it did.

Yeah, people maxing it out with 4xMSAA on their GTX 660's isn't gonna be pretty true.
There are references to the original in the game that will fly over your head, but you don't NEED to play the original, though it is still very much recommended because it is an amazing game in its own right.
Except it's not a meme. Nier Automata is a shitty PC port. It was abandoned by the dev and publisher and never fixed. And no, fan mods\band aids don't count.
Hopefully, if this is true, it means they finally give the game the attention it deserves. The technical issues put me off playing it on PC and getting a refund on steam.
I don't care about Nioh but I'll take Ninja Gaiden 2 BC and X enhanced as an apology for Hayashi and his team fucking up the Ninja Gaiden name by making Ninja Gaiden 3.

I hope so! I would buy this day one if so! I kept waiting for a steam sale to buy it on PC but my PC isn't that great, and I don't like playing on it that much so I would certainly pick it up on my X.

This is allegedly the card you are using for 1440p at max settings. It can't even hold 60FPS at 1080p.
I hope so. It's one of a few PS4 exclusives I'd be interested in playing. Some more diversity on Xbox wouldn't be a bad thing.
Switch wouldn't be able to handle it, the games GI lightning engine is pretty hefty.
