I mean more like she puts the bow down and picks up the dual pistols as her main weapon going forward.
Like the end of the recent movie.

Either this is a misdirect or they're supremely stupid, especially after the last two fakes.
It's whiny Uncharted game. As in the game is similar to Uncharted but Lara whines about something every 2 seconds.for those that played the last game, is this IP moving closer towards Uncharted or closer towards the original games?
Lara gets her iconic triangle boobs backI'm not sure I get the 'having dual pistols' = must also wear short shorts and bikinis insinuation there but alright. That's a shame. Could have been a really great
God of War'ish style (Kratos getting the blades back) moment in game and a really cool scene.
It's not like I want the same kind of sex object (I absolutely don't), but the fact that he is bringing that up is ridiculous. Who said that they want Lara in a Bikini?
And I don't care how TR aged. It was amazing back then, unlike the reboot, which was Uncharted with abysmal writing,
Torture porn and sexual assault in the reboot aren't any better
Uncharted with shit writing, horrible characters, and ugly ass environments.for those that played the last game, is this IP moving closer towards Uncharted or closer towards the original games?
Did they tease the dual pistols at the end of Rise too? I got so sick of her complaining that about 60% of the way through the main story I just gave up and trade the game in for something more fun and less exhausting.

They were a easter egg in Blood Ties (the DLC with croft manor), but that works cause the DLC was a celebration of 20 years of TR and had a bunch of nods to previous games.

Bow/axe is better. I groaned a bit when she whipped out double pistols in the first game (as I do in any media with two pistols; how the fuck do you expect to aim or reload them?)
I wish they'd damn well stop teasing the dual pistols then... You can't continually denounce an iconic aspect of your character's past as silly while continually winking to the audience using said aspect in your games. I know Shadow is being made by Eidos and not Crystal Dynamics, but I can't imagine the Eidos people aren't aware of how TR13 or Rise DLC ended. So maybe don't crap on something as being silly when it has been a part of this new series, too.
Didn't they end the first game with her getting them
This is the most drawn out origin story in entertainment history

By the time her origin story is over, we'll be getting a third reboot.

Lmao fuck off. Of course they put together the double pistols with the bikini/shorts. Legit I'm not buying this game day 1 because of that stupid ass quote.
Shorts firedShots fired, I guess...
Pretty unncessary if you ask me, since the former TR games are much better. Have fun with whatever this is then. :P

Imagine caring about realism after watching Lara get her abdomen impaled several times in the reboot and then going deep into dirty water.
Max Payne 3?Bow/axe is better. I groaned a bit when she whipped out double pistols in the first game (as I do in any media with two pistols; how the fuck do you expect to aim or reload them?)

Oh and that bit about the ancient Queen of the Sun that had supernatural powers.

The bow is fucking lame because the bow has been the thing for a while in many games now. Also I don't see what the shorts and stuff have to do with dual pistols.

This makes sense because of the setting. Thank about it: the premise of the game is she's hunting while being hunted.
A recurve bow fits this theme perfectly as it is better suited for stealth. Imagine trying to stealth with two loud weapons as they attract unwanted attention. If she starts a game in this setting with two unsilenced dual pistols it takes away from the immersion IMHO.
Yup, this is the feeling I get as well. Damn shame, the old games (including the PS2 ones like Legend and Anniversary) are responsible for some amazing gaming memories. What's with the bikini comment?? Why not just start a new IP with another character if it's embarrassing to talk about the origin of the old IP? It's like they're ashamed about the older games and wants to stay as far as possible from everything that made Lara an icon. The old Lara is not only gone, the devs are basically pissing on her grave now.
Well, the dual guns were iconic for the original Lara but I think the new Lara is mostly known for her bow and arrows so I don't mind this that much.
Associating the twin pistols with "shorts and a bikini" (don't ever recall that particular combo but what do I know.) seems kinda distasteful to be honest.
Can they not just admit that not everything people liked about old Lara was tied to fanservice?
