They spelled it out years ago: Tsukasa doesn't work well with others and all of this background is showing that he doesn't trust anyone. The individual dishes will be better than Soma and Erina's dishes, but the combination will be better on Soma and Erina's side. It's setting up a fluke win.Weekly Shonen Jump 3/19/18
Food Wars 255
Wow they're really rushing this final battle, Rindou has already present and Tsukasa ended with his dish ready. Still waiting for the weakness in Rindou or Tsukasa to be revealed to give Erina/Soma a not bull shit excuse to win.
Black Clover 149
So 1/3 of the cast is now possessed by evil dead elves? If Licht's plan was to just shove the souls of his comrades into humans why did he kill his 3 loyal minions? Why not just kill 3 prisoners or something? I assume Yuno will jusr break feee on his own because he's Yuno.
Iori shirt, Harada the best.My fav game series is also Tekken.
Every new iteration i have to watch people in Japan play the arcade version for 2+ years before i get it like we still in the 90s

Idolmaster coincidence?
You should probably just cut your losses now. :/ The manga was cancelled mid run, so if you were hoping for any semblance of a good resolution to the story, it just doesn't exist.
That's a shame. I thought both YKK and Kabu no Isaki were better so maybe its a chance for something new.Kotonoba Drive 31-35
What? The manga is ending? Nooooo! I want more!
Well shit, you guys legitimately got me bummed out lol. It had such a nice first volume, and here I was thinking it'd be a decently paced series since I saw it was only 5 volumes long...
Yawara was pretty uninteresting to me (to be kind), I dropped it after 1 or 2 volumes. I already knew Urasawa was a hack after reading Happy! but Yawara felt even worse, also thanks to characters that annoyed me more than the cast of assholes in Happy!.Just started reading through Yawara!, and man, this goes without saying, but Naoki Urasawa does good work. This is actually the first thing I've read outside of his more serious stuff, but it still totally is working really well for me.
That said, I got the bunko editions. I love the format in general, so I don't regret my decision, but the covers are certainly... something.
I can definitely see it not being for everyone, but I'm pretty thoroughly enjoying it. I guess maybe part of it is that, like, it has that sort of... old school feel I guess, like I get from the older (pre-Inuyasha) Takahashi works that I really like. Plus at least thus far (2 bunko in, so probably roughly about 3 volumes) it feels a loooooot less repetitive than I'd expect from such a series usually. Like, I could see it falling into a pretty easy loop with the setup, but it definitely hasn't, at least thus far. Plus I like the cast interactions a lot, haha, so agree to disagree there I suppose.Yawara was pretty uninteresting to me (to be kind), I dropped it after 1 or 2 volumes. But yeah, still pretty early in, so I'll probably hold off on more thorough thoughts till when I'm all the way through. (Bare minimum, finding this a huuuuuuuge step up from Reborn, which is the last big series I read.)
It's funny that if you just took out the Don's lines about rigging it, no reader would think twice about the bracket. Just the protagonist having to face the introduced characters as normal lolRobot x Laserbeam 49
This series is really trying to sell me on the idea that Robo is being screwed by the Don... it is failing at that goal.
If a person has that normal sumo wrestler look, I have trouble keeping tack of them. One of the guys did appear earlier, but I don't think it is that important to know what people did in part 1 outside of the main team + treasures.Hinomaru Zumou 161-163
Am I supposed to know who all of these named characters are? This series has such a small number of actually memorable characters, it's really hard to tell who anyone is when they go changing their designs. Or maybe I should pay more attention...
Kirihito is dope tho.
