Well, tv-only console yes.The lack of MHW showing up in GW is suprising lol. Guess thats the limit of console release for MH there.
Probably because the same discussion crops up after every Wii U port gets announced and the games released seem to do just fine. It's good that Nintendo didn't raise the price of the game in Japan at least. Happy that more people are playing it.
Here you get a golden star for being right on a message board:
Seriously this seems needlessly antagonistic but I'm sure it's just me.
I hadn't seen that one. That's pretty cute, haha.
Software or hardware? Software is way above expectations imo, several games have 60% or higher increases. Hardware is about where I'd pegged it at. Golden Week hasn't seen strong hardware increases in the past several years.
DKTF will probably break 1 million with all version combined. That would be such an achievement from the disastrous debut on Wii U and put it on par with DKR on Wii.
We can expect big drops next.Is this Golden Week already? Or can we expect bigger bumps next week?
I'm expecting the G release in Q1 2019. That should do a good 1m+ in Japan depending on how it's sold.I'm surprised that Monster Hunter: World didn't chart this week while Animal Crossing: New Leaf did. Wonder if a Capcom is planning on a way to garner more interest in the IP at home or if they'll just be satisfied with the [excellent] worldwide performance.
im expecting a pretty major drop for dk next week though, i wonder if they will have a similar second week.DKCTF Wii U MC chart:

So MC had the Wii U version at 130.896 LTD.
I think we should also note that the factor of sales given by GEO almost perfectly matched the sales increase for TF as given by MC. That's one piece of info to keep in mind for the next time they give info on sales: we now have precedence that their example translated over almost completely to the market at large, so their indications probably carry some weight.
Also add no Powapuro to the list of wut Konami decisions.Castlevania on mobile
PES not coming
Does not look promising. EMILYYY
What if it's MGSV
Oh yeah. From Final Fantasy, Nostalgia and Avalon Code going down to Omega Labyrinth. They might as well have died with DS tbh.
Indeed
It for sure still doesn't look like it worked to push hardware sales that much this week and certainly not since the beginning of the year so sorry but there are still very good reasons to complain about them. We can't even say if the hardware bump this week is due more thanks to DK, Golden Week or even Labo. WiiU ports like Switch games in general will keep selling well on their own, nothing new here.I don't want to hear people complain about "ports" on the Switch anymore.
It clearly works commercially. It's gonna keep happening.
06./08. [NSW] Mario Kart 8 Deluxe <RCE> (Nintendo) {2017.04.28} (¥5.980) - 23.983 / 1.521.818 (+82%)
Yeah, legs are insane. 500k are we're only 4 months into the year. Next trimester will be somewhat lower I think (but not too much I think), and then the holidays will be big. 1.5M-2M for this calendar year sounds quite plausible, which would put Splatoon 2 at 3.5M-4M, and launch it into the stratosphere of biggest sellers of all time. Wonder how far it can go, could in enter the top 3 (6M+) at the very end of its life? Lofty goal, for sure, but it'll be strongly supported for the whole generation I feel, and its sales are trucking along incredibly well. That's expected ( at least for me ) but still very impressive.
Will probabily reach ~650K by the end of June, and the second half of the year is gonna be even better with octoling DLC, Switch big games boosts, and holiday of course.
Should sell ~1.5 million in 2018, which would mean ~3.3 million lifetime.
It's actually way higher than that. It was over the million mark only in 2014.

5M sales already puts it in the top 10 best sellers of all time in Japan. Crazy to think about, really. One thing is sure: anyone still saying 5 million looks too high have to understand this is just wrong.
Now, for the +6 million part... We'll see, but is definitively possible.
14./29. [NSW] 1-2-Switch <ETC> (Nintendo) {2017.03.03} (¥4.980) - 5.551 / 441.682
Impressive software sales! Nice to see update totals for 1-2 Switch, Arms and Pokken.
I thought Mario Rabbids and Hyrule Warriors would crack the list again during this week but no, is musou games really that onpopular in Japan?
Donkey Kong doubled the opening of the Wii U version. At this point, with some legs, it can do 300-400k LTD, in line with Returns 3D.
Labo showing some legs as all Switch games. Switch hardware sales are driving software sales like crazy.
PS4 is not benefitting much neither from holidays nor from new stock.
I was just asking (the second time as the first time didn't produce any answer) to understand how much he thinks shortages have affected weekly sales.
Personally, I don't think PS4 would have sold way better.
Software sales are really dreadful outside MHW. All relevant games of the past few months (except MHW) bombed or underperformed.
Donkey Kong went from 4700 on Wii U to 4980 on Switch. Price raised even by a bit. If you add tax (5% then, 8% now) the rise is bigger. Two things I find curious. DKTF's price is the same as it was in Wii U (5 yen less) and the same as the rest of Nintendo first party games. So I guess the original discount for the Wii U version happened only on the West. I also see that BOTW price is 1000 yen more expensive than the rest of the first parties (6980 yen vs 5980 yen, the same as Labo variety kit), do we know why?.
