We all love you Chris.

We are headed into the holiday months, though. Therefore, I think we should see the number stay at least at 80k or above. If not, then Nintendo must have failed to ramp up its production for the holiday months, and Japan will be a bloodbath...I'm not sure if we'll see a "permanent" upward tick after the release of SMO. Next week will be big, but I think Switch numbers after that probably will depend on the availability of the SMO bundle, like the Splatoon bundle increased the so called baseline for many weeks.
Switch: 100k
SMO: 300k
You joking? Everyone loves you! You bring brilliant insight and hard truths to the mix, and your MC threads are always on time and very well-structured. What's not to love?I didn't know I had so many fans before this transition, I was going from fight to fight to GAF when I was in the mood.

Definitely. Nintendo mentioned before the Splatoon 2 launch that they had increased production for the fall, so I expect the numbers to remain high in the weeks after SMO and into the holiday period. Hoping it can get to 3.5 million by the end of December at the very least, 4 million if they really decide to treat Japan!2M next week should be doable. The big question will we whether Switch will be able to touch the 3DS's graph in two weeks. I think the shipment will be bigger than with Splatoon 2 in July. Not because Super Mario Odyssey is a bigger game in Japan, but simply because there's more supply available. The holidays will be interesting.
I would expect a console game that ends up being a big jump for the series.Mario: 280k Switch: 100k
About Animal Crossing: It will be a huge success for sure, but this may be the first Nintendo IP going mostly mobile from now on. It's almost the full experience.
Did Donny come over? He used his info to create the competition, so he's quite a prequisite for it.I wonder if NPD and M-C annual predictions will carry over to the new forum ?

Why hardware models numbers are not combined, like 3DS and PS4?
3D Land did very well.If I remember correctly, 3D Marios didn't do all that well in Japan in comparison to 2D ones; even less so than in other parts of the world. I'll go with 280k Marios.
On consoles, they sell 1-1.5 million. 3d land on 3ds, however, sold 2.7 million LTD.If I remember correctly, 3D Marios didn't do all that well in Japan in comparison to 2D ones; even less so than in other parts of the world. I'll go with 280k Marios.
And speaking of which, what does the PS4 have of note remaining for the year?
Glad Chris is back. Now it's a party.
Impressive week for PS4. Lots of new releases there.
