I didn't even know they were hiring. Nice. I guess NT will become the premiere devs for MS when it comes to third person adventure games with amazing graphics, story , combat and melee. :) At least until The Iniitiative takes the title back after they release their first game.
Good at least they should start early for their next game
has there been anything said on if MIcrosoft will have a conference at Gamescom?
Spencer did say in the GB interview that they didn't have to show everything so It's possible they could have enough for a gamescom show.has there been anything said on if MIcrosoft will have a conference at Gamescom?
I've been increasingly keen on buying a Switch lately. But the irony with getting older is I now have the cash to buy more consoles but no where near enough time.
Phil said they started their next project as soon as they were done with hellblade.
That is the true dilemma. Exact reason why I have held off on a switch thus far despite owning a few games I picked up more than half off. I also barely touched my 3DS backlog over the years due to how limited my time has become.
yes i hear him say that at GaintbombPhil said they started their next project as soon as they were done with hellblade.
I don't want to take this too OT but I do have to say the Switch is very helpful for the "not enough time" problem as it can be played literally anywhere.
I don't think invest 100+ hours and beat Zelda if it's on a home console. Simply having the ability to play in my commute, or we'll my wife wants to watch a show or in bed made it all possible.
Likely referring to Inside Xbox
CD Keys will send the Code for Gears 5 before 31 March
Does this Mean it will release In the First quarter of 2019? Or what this really mean
shouldn't be the placeholder 31 Decmber? It's a placeholder date, no way Gears 5 releases before fall 2019 (at the earliest).
I really can't wait to see what they are all working on.I can see NT solely focusing on pure action games, while the Initiative will be closer to Tomb Raider games.
shouldn't be the placeholder 31 Decmber?
i still think Gears Maybe Going to release in the first four months of next year (Jan to May) Same with SOT And SOD2
It really does seem perfect for that, but my commute time is already over committed with listening to podcasts and trying to read a damn book once in a while.I don't want to take this too OT but I do have to say the Switch is very helpful for the "not enough time" problem as it can be played literally anywhere.

Maybe but still feel It'll release before E32019That be crazy. Gears 4 had at least 2 full gameplay trailers at E3. It seems the game is still early and it def needs a home run presentation at E3 2019 before release.
That said, Kim admitted that Microsoft tried to buy the studio: "Well, I tried, but & not everybody wants to be bought, Elevation owns BioWare," Kim said.
I've been increasingly keen on buying a Switch lately. But the irony with getting older is I now have the cash to buy more consoles but no where near enough time. So I decided to scratch that itch by buying Rare Replay on sale (something I've been meaning to buy forever and just never pulled the trigger).
Dear god BK is so good. I will never understand why they have gone so long without making a new true-BK. Like N&B was what it was, but surely Microsoft bought Rare because of its reputation with games like BK and its IP. It would make so much sense as a next-gen launch title. I'm not saying it'd be something to compete with Mario, but I'm not saying it wouldn't be either.
The games will be cross compatible, 2020 is a ways out, so you can always trade in/sell if you absolutely have to play at the best performance.Guys. I want Halo Infinite so bad ;(
Please stop me from buying an X for MCC. I KNOW the next system is coming by end of 2020 and I KNOW Infinite will be on it. Ugh.
Yeah that's a fair point. I think something Nintendo has managed to do so well with Mario is take the character and game but move it forward.Honestly, Yooka-Laylee's tepid launch kinda puts a damper on that genre since that game was good and still didn't do that well. Some genres just come and go, and I think the 3D platforming collectathon is one of them. It's probably for the best to let Rare go out and make stuff like SoT.
It's great hardware but it has almost no games or upcoming games I want to play that are exclusiveThe games will be cross compatible, 2020 is a ways out, so you can always trade in/sell if you absolutely have to play at the best performance.
X is an amazing device, best console I've owned in many years. Failing that PC is a very viable option.
Maybe you should stop caring about exclusives? There will be other great 3rd party games on top of exclusives. If you want to play the best console version of games. OneX is the way to goIt's great hardware but it has almost no games or upcoming games I want to play that are exclusive
Splash Damage always has open positions for their Gears team. They have a multi-year, multi-titles deal - similiar to Undead Labs before the acquisition. Most won't know this, but Gears Tactics is already the third Gears project they are working on. They will keep helping The Coalition working on the franchise in the future. Gears Tactics is their first Gears game where they are the main dev. Should turn out great.Splash damage has listed a new Job For Gears Of war
the listing Job As
Development Director
Gears of War Franchise
Senior Development Director
Gears of War Franchise
Build Engineer
Gears of War Franchise
Klobrille Do you know what those Job Mean ?

The situation here is a bit more complicated though, as Splash Damage is already owned by the chinese investor corporation Radius Maxima. This isn't a complete K.O. criteria, however, this clearly makes an acquisition more complicated and more expensive.Should we expect an acquisition then? I can totally see Microsoft buying Splash Damage. It makes sense.
I already have a PS4 Pro so I don't feel the upgrade is significant enough without exclusives to help justify it.Maybe you should stop caring about exclusives? In addition I dont know if it makes sense to get another UK studio, as they already have three now (technically 4 with the second Playground Games studio). At some point it's too much for a certain location and you can't find new talent anymore.
I really don't understand the hate Brink got.Buy Splash Damage, put Brink on Game Pass. I really think the game deserves another shot and game pass would be perfect. GaaS it up a little and off we go!

They did. Was mobile only tho.Splash Damage has never made an RTS/XCOM game before, will be interesting to see how Gears Tactics goes.
Agreed. Loved the mobility, gunplay was fun. All the early tech issues doomed it but a rebirth of the game could be massive. Perfect title for some GaaS goodness.I really don't understand the hate Brink got.
I thought it was great. Incredibly underrated title.
BattletoadsIt's not 2008 anymore, AAA sequels don't come out in two years from a company with less than 300 employees. The Coalition is incredibly efficient but even they need time to make a Gears game removed from the original formula and Microsoft's Q1/Q2 are probably already stacked with Crackdown 3, Ori 2 and Gears Tactics/Battletoads.
Battletoads
I don't Think Battletoads Will be out before Gears
They didn't Show anything from BattletoadsGears will be Fall, with Battletoads in Summer at the latest. That's how I see it playing out.
They didn't Show anything from Battletoads
So i think the opposite
Probably not. Whos to say the game will have even the same art style or vibe to it. For all we know it could be a completely different game just with the Fable name attached to itAny chance Playground is reusing the tech and assets from Fable Legends? I imagine it will still be on Unreal at least.
